MFT Color Challenge #63

Hello, and happy Monday!

I was able to create a bit this weekend, and made a sweet little birthday card using My Favorite Things color challenge

I started with a panel of white card stock, and ran it through my die cut machine using the Blueprints 25 die to create a border on my panel. Using mint dye ink, I stamped a striped pattern from the Pinstripe Background Stamp onto my panel, barely smoothing it down to get a distressed look.

I stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Wishes and Balloons stamp set, in Onyx Black Versamark Ink, in the center of the panel. I then stamped out, and cut the cute flowers from the Beautiful Blooms set.

As a last touch, I added some white gel pen details to the flowers, and a bit of shimmer with the Wink of Stella Glitter brush pen.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great one!

Virginia's View Challenge #25

Hello lovlies!

I was able to get crafty last evening, and made a card! Virginia has a great challenge this month, over at Virginia's View Challenge, using stripes or plaid, and having just watercolored these gorgeous flowers from Altenew, decided they need to be put with stripes. Yes, indeed!

I colored these up using Derwent Inktense pencils, and if you follow me on Instagram, know that this is part of a great coloring challenge put on by the talented Kathy R.!

I started by stamping two blooms from Altenew's Botanical Garden set, using Versafine Onyx Black ink. It is a waterproof ink once it's dry, and it won't smear when you water color over it. Once that was stamped, I started coloring!

Using Derwent Inktense pencils, which is a vibrant watercolor pigment, I colored in the flowers. Once the color is dry, it can't be reactivated. Which is great if you're a klutz, and drip water on your projects!!

Once I had cut out my flowers, I stamped my sentiment and adhered a bit of patterned stripe paper, both from MFT, and adhered the flowers with foam tape. I finished it off with a few sequins and drops from Pretty Pink Posh.

Below is the graphic, in case you might be interested in playing along. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #53

Hello, dear blog readers!

This week's latest Share Joy Challenge is either a sketch, or a pretty color combination. I chose the color combination, because I love fuchsia! Let me tell you what I did, and what I used to create this!

When I saw the Diagonal Stripes Cutting Plate, I knew it had to be mine. It proved to be the perfect fit for my idea for this card. I used it on a piece of Lollipop card stock, and adhered the negative pieces onto my Sugar CS card base, using foam adhesive. Tip: Use the positive portion of the die cut, using temporary adhesive, to evenly space your pieces. Once they are adhered, gently remove the positive piece.

I then took Toffee, Granny Smith, and Blue Corn Card stocks, and heat embossed the floral images from the Fresh Floral set, and die cut them out. I layered them into a cluster onto a vellum circle, and adhered them to my card front.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed a lovely greeting from the Simply Stamped: Roses set, and added glossy accents to the center of the flowers. I also adhered a few rhinestones, and added white gel pen dots around my focal image.

Below is the graphic, along with the rules to playing along! I do hope you'll join us! I would love to see how you were inspired!

Share Joy Challenge #47

Hello friends!

It. Is. August, people! August! How, just how! I am obviously in denial, however, a new month of fabulous Share Joy Challenge inspiration awaits, and I have my latest to share with you.

For the challenge, I chose to do the Tic-Tac-Toe, bottom row of flowers, enamel dots, and foil. I took a white card base, and splattered it with black ink, allowed it to dry, and adhered my die cut flowers. I used Lollipop card stock, along with the Scribble Flowers die set, and created a few layered blooms. I also die cut the stems from Granny Smith card stock, and placed the flowers to the far left on the card.

Using the Congrats Script die, I foiled it with gold, and adhered it to the card front. That is it! Super easy, and fun! I hope you join us this week, details are below!

Share Joy Challenge #44

Hello dear friends!

I hope you are well, and enjoying your summer! I am soaking in all the heat I can, because I know it never lasts long enough. Right now, I am knee deep in curriculum, and school planning, so I know that fall is right around the corner, eep! However, it is time again for a new Share Joy Challenge

You know I can't get enough of the Fresh Florals set from Taylored Expressions! It's dreamy! I stamped the blooms using their inks, and matching dies, and adhered them in a cluster over my patterned papered panel.

I used a sweet sentiment from the same set, and added some white gel pen details to my flowers. I finished it with some small gens to the flower centers!

I hope to see you join us this week! It's a good one! Here is the sketch, and the details are below.

Share Joy Challenge #42

Hey, hey!

It's time for this week's Share Joy Challenge from Taylored Expressions! I used the sketch this week, and came up with this bright, and happy card!

I started with a panel of white card stock, and using a simple circle die, made four openings. I then lightly traced those openings onto my white card base, and inked those spots in four colors.

I splattered them with water, and lifted the color up with a paper towel. I then adhered the panel with foam, and adhered the lovely Best Wishes Script die, that I stacked multiple times, and inked up.

I adhered a strip of pattered paper to the bottom, and also a cluster of flowers, and leaves that uses the new Fresh Florals Stamp and Die set. I stamped those in some of the Taylored Expressions Dye inks, in the colors, Granny Smith, Pea Pod, and Lemon Meringue.
