For Unto You...

Hi there!  So excited that it is almost Friday, because my sweet hubby is taking me on a little weekend trip for our 5th anniversary!  It will be so nice to get out of town for a few days.  I will likely have scheduled posts, so it won't feel like a ghost town...I hate that.  The problem is actually making something to share!  Hee.  For today though, I have another Christmas card (I know!!) using the latest Cardpatterns Sketch.  I just bought the Silent Night stamp set from Papertrey Ink and since I am trying to get my Christmas cards done asap, I thought I would ink it up!  Thanks so much for dropping by today, and I hope you have a good one!

Hi!

Hey there friend!  I haven't had the chance to create anything today...but I do have another submission card from the last PC call for you.  I am hoping to get to create more soon and catch up on some challenges I have been wanting to play along with.  It seems like Jonathan (he's 2 1/2) has become a little more demanding and I just can't squeeze in the time like I used to.

Have you signed up to participate in the World Cardmaking Day Blog Tour?  You can find it here.  Well, I am off to chase the little guy!  I hope you have a great day!

Blessings of Christmas

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by!  It is rainy, windy and gray here today.  Perfect for crafting I say!  Thought I would play along with the latest 2Sketches4You sketch.  So here it is, yes another Christmas card!  I promise to take a break here soon!

For my card I used an older collection from Fancy Pants called Christmas Magic.  I bought way too much of it thinking I would use it and well there it sits!  Time to use up this stuff.  I hand cut some of the ornaments out and attached some floss to look like they are hanging.

For the sentiment I used the largest of this set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Finished it off with a big yummy bow!

One-of-A-Kind

Hey there!  Thanks for stopping by.  I have a litte card for you from the last Papercrafts call.  This one is from one of the sketches provided.  What's funny is that I find doing the sketches and color swatch a little pointless because seriously there are a total of 4, count em', FOUR projects picked.  So you have to be top of the game.  This is not, but I tried anyway, hee!  Have a good one friend!

Good evening!  It is a beautiful day here, and besides working this afternoon I have enjoyed being outside with the kiddo.  I am in love with the Jovial Collection by BasicGrey.  It gives me that extra push to create Christmas cards!  I used Laura's sketch at 2Sketches4You and kept it pretty simple, since a lot of my cards will be going through the mail.  Thank you so much for dropping by!  Have a great one!

Merry & Bright

Well hello!  Today has just zoomed by for me and I don't even know where it went!  My 2 1/2 year old slept till 10:30 this morning, so I got a lot of around the house stuff done, but I knew that he wasn't going to go down for his regularly scheduled nap anytime soon.  So, I took him to Wal-mart and then on to Archiver's.  He was a complete peach.  Seriously, this couldn't be the same child that has made me want to pull my hair out all weekend?!  Needless to say, we had a good time and I forced myself to pick up some Hero Arts Christmas stamps and BasicGrey Jovial 6x6 pad.  I say forced because I would rather not by seasonal things when there are so many other bountiful offerings to get!  But I have decided that I will get my cards done before November, I will!  Soooo, what's do you have, you ask?  The latest Waltzingmouse sketch of course, along with the Holiday card challenge over at the Moxie Fab World

I punched out 3/4" squares, ink the edges and adhered them to a dark chocolate cardstock strip and mounted it onto the patterned paper strip adhered to my card front.

I added some lace trim and rustic twine and tied a die cut tag to it stamped with a sentiment and a few rhinestones.  Fun and easy!  Thanks so much for stopping today!  Have a good one my friend

Sweet Birthday

Hi there!  Thanks for dropping by!  Here is a card using CardPatterns Sketch #82.  I took some liberties with this one.  Trying to use up some patterned paper that has gotten neglected.  I hoard this stuff till it's coming out my ears and still want more!  Hee.  I know I am not along in this, wink, wink!

We are hoping the clouds disappear soon and the sun comes out!  But in the meantime we are off to take a nice long bike ride and enjoy the afternoon before this weekend is officially over.  I hope you enjoy it too my friend!

Reach For the Sky

Hi friend!  I just love Saturdays!  I have nothing planned today and am looking forward to relaxing, and some cardmaking of course!  I really want to use some of the newest sketches at CardPatterns and Waltzingmouse so I will probably be back with those later.  In the meantime I will post a reject overlooked card from the last Papercrafts call.  I submitted so many cards I lost count, none got picked but you know what?  I am okay with that.  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Adore

Hi there!  Thank you so much for visiting my lil' ol' blog today!  I have a little card I made using my favorite patterned paper, Webster's Pages...I don't think I will get tired of it anytime soon, I love it!  I really wasn't feeling it when I was at my craft table so I just kinda went with the flow of the paper and used a "sentiment" if you would call it that from the paper itself.  A simple generic card for someone special.

I stumbled upon this nifty shabby challenge blog, might play along sometime, since this seems to be my fav new style.  In other news, I got accepted to the Cardabilities Design Team!  So excited about that!  New sketches are revealed on the 15th and 30th of the month so if you need a sketch to get you going, go check it out.  Well, I believe that is all for me today, have a great one friend!

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hi there!  This weekend was and still is a bit rough here at the ranch...I know things will get better, but my mojo really took a dive and I still don't feel like making anything.  I made this card over the weekend for CardPatterns newest sketch.  I was finally able to get my hands on the Seaside 8x8 pad by October Afternoon...sheesh, I can't find them anywhere!  The collection just feels manly, so I went with it.  Thank you friend for stopping by and for your encouraging and uplifting comments.  You make my day!

With Sympathy

Hey hey friend!  Let me tell you a little story...There once was a girl named Lindsay, who loved to craft and craft and when she awoke one morning realized she didn't have any mojo left!  Um, that was me for the entire holiday weekend up to yesterday.  My poor hubby had to hear me whinning about how I can't seem to put paper and ink together.  So, I asked myself what do you do when your creative brain shuts down?  You play with a sketch.  AHhhhh.  Ohhhhh.  That's better.  The moral of the story?  Sketches are good play with them!  Hee hee.  I used CardPatterns newest sketch for this card and got down with my vintage-y self.  Thanks for humoring me friend.  Have a good one!
