Christmas Tags

Merry Christmas friends!

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing day with family and friends.  I wanted to stop by to bring you a fun set of tags that I created for my gift bags to give my family.  Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of the finished bags, but you get the idea.  All of the stamps I used were from Wplus9, which you can find in the i {heart} paper.  I will keep it short and sweet, and get to the tags...

I used all Wplus9 stamps, as well at inks from Hero Arts, and my favorite Divine Twine.  The patterned papers are from Carta Bella's Wildflower paper pad as well as a pack from Lily Bee.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I wish you many blessings!  Merry Christmas crafty friends!

You Are One Of A Kind

Hey there!

Time is ticking down for Christmas, and my son is super excited!  I can't blame him, I still get a little giddy at Christmas morning too.  In all the hectic busyness, I still want to pop in here and share a little craftyness.  When my schedule goes crazy, I always find so much stress relief at my craft table.  Using goodies from the i {heart} papers store, I created this wintery card...

For this card, I dug into my fav Paper Smooches, and a new to me set, Fresh Snow.  I white heat embossed three of them onto a lovely gradient piece of patterned paper from the Wildflower paper pad by Carte Bella...sigh, I just love it so!  I then took the Snowflake dies, and cut a few and placed them over the embossed snowflakes, using Glossy Accents.  Add a gem to the center, and viola!

To finish it, I added a sentiment strip, stamped with a greeting from the set, in HA Silver ink.  I popped it up onto a white card base, and tucked in some silver glitter paper for good measure!

Thank you sooo much for joining me here today!  Have a great one!

Feel Better Soon

Hello friends.

Recently, a family member has been going through a bout of sickness, so I wanted to send them a little get well card.  I used goodies from the i {heart} papers store for this card, check it out.

The rose set is a new one this month from Wplus9 called Coming Up Roses, and oh my, it is sooo pretty!  To start, I took a white panel, and stamped the leaves in a soft green.  I then went back with the yellow flowers, and again with a darker yellow for the dimension.  I need a bit more practice lining these up...

I die cut the vase, and stamped it in a light blue, as well as the bottom portion of the flower stem.  I then popped it up, and adhered my sentiment strip, stamped with a sentiment from Paper Smooches Salutations set.  To finish it off, I added a few frosted gems and adhered the panel to a Kraft card base with foam adhesive.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day.

CFC124: Happy New Year

Hi friends!!

Today, the ladies at CAS-ual Fridays, are joining along with Paulina's 10 Minute Craft Dash!  I love this challenge!  Since the New Year starts with a countdown, lets count the minutes it takes to complete your project.  If you can do it in 10 minutes or less, you can play at 10 Minute Craft Dash too!  So, break out whatever inspires you for this, and set your timer!  Here is what I did.

I started with stamps from Casual Friday Stamps, called Countdown, and embossed the border image in gold embossing powder.

I then partially inked the New Year sentiment in HA's Soft Granite, and added a cutie little die cut from Paper Smooches, Christmas die set, using gold paper.  I rounded the bottom corners and called it good!  My total time came out to be 5: 40. 67.  Not bad, I would say!  Let's see what you can do!!

Golden Happy Birthday

Hellooooo!

Time is slipping away from me lately, with Christmas just around the corner!  I am so close, yet so far away from being "done."  How bout you?  Are you anywhere near ready?  I will tell you a secret, it's not pretty...ready?  I have officially sent ONE, yes, one card, in fact I hand delivered it.  This has never happened, and I hang my head.  I know there are other out there like me, anyone?  Anyone?!

To add to my lack of holiday cheer, I have a birthday card to share with you, yes...a birthday card.  It is as far from a Christmas card as it can get!  I see an avoidance issue here.

To start, I used some FABULOUS new goodies from the i {heart} papers store.  Kate does such a great job providing us papercrafters with super awesome products, like this Carte Bella paper pad, GAH!  I loooove it.  love.  All that and you get it at record speed.  I cut it at a jaunty angle and stamped and embossed the wreath from Wplus9's Valentine Wishes set, along with the flower and leaf from More Fresh Cuts.  It's a match made it papercrafting heaven.  Well done Dawn, well done.

I went a little crazy with the gold embossing powder, but I loooove it, and I don't care what anyone thinks, bwahahaha!

So much fun these sets!  I hope you've enjoyed, and my rambling hasn't sent you running!  Have an awesome day my friends!

Paper Smooches & IHP

Hi friends!

Today is a fun day here on the blog, because I get to share a really fun stamp set that
Kate (owner of i {heart} papers) and Kim Hughes came up with, to support our rescued furry friends. Together they created some really fun dog rescue products! A portion of the sales will be donated to Home for Good.  Kim asked us to share these fun products through our projects!  Cool huh?

I know losing a pet can be so difficult.  They become our family, our friends and have personalities all their own.  Using the first set, called Paws For A Cause,  I chose this sentiment, and added it to the one of the Streamers dies, along with a brown heat embossed silhouette of one of the dog images.

To finish it, I added a stamped heart from the set, and covered it with glossy accents.

For this card, I went a bit grungy, using a new to me Tim Holtz embossing folder, and the tiny sentiment set, called Lucky Dog.  I added a bit of Antique Linen Distress Ink, and rounded the corners.  I adhered it to a matching Kraft base, and tied on some twine.

I took a white die cut heart, stamped the little paw image repeatedly, and then added a sentiment in the center.

To add extra fun to our blog hop...we are offering up a prize!

  • TWO winners will be chosen at RANDOM from any of the design team blogs.

CFC123: Let It Snow

Hello friends!

Today, CAS-ual Fridays has a new challenge up, to use snowflakes or snow of some kind on your clean and simple project.

For my card, I broke out the glitter, and went crazy with double sided tape and snowflake dies, lol!  Getting the backing off of these was a bear, but I stuck with it!  I really like the sparkle.

I added a sweet sentiment from Wplus9's Silver Bells set to finish it.  I hope you find a bit of time to play along with us this week, we would love to see what you make!

Golden Merry & Bright

Hi friends!

I got to craft with my gal pals, Katie and Kirsty this past weekend at Archivers.  We had so much fun!  I really wanted to make something that didn't involve a deadline or assignment, and created this CAS Christmas card.

Kirsty has a very, and I mean VERY large collection of MFT goodness, and every time we get together, I want some for my own...so, I ordered some for myself.  I inked up the Abstract Art set in some Christmas-y colors, and stamped over it in Versamark, using Cheerful Christmas Greetings.

I took Gold Detail embossing powder and heat set it.  I then took wood veneer stars, and dipped them in Versamark, as well as gold powder and heat set it, repeating several times to get it thick.  Note, be quick and don't hold the heat on for too long, it melts fast!!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Joy

Hiya!

I have a glitzy creation to share with you, that was inspired by the latest Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.  I just love the inspirational photo.  All of that silver, red and white!

Check it out:

Here is where I went with it, using goodies and Paper Smooches stamps that you can find in the IHP store.

To start, I heat embossed the Joy sentiment from Word Salad in Pewter, as well as a circle stamp from Whirlygigs, which I cut out.  I then white heat embossed the polka dot circle and cut it out.  I did that with the two smaller circles, cut them out and then arranged them onto my white card base.

I added a strip of red cardstock, as well as some American Crafts glitter tape.  As a final touch, I used a bunch of rhinestones to embellish the rest of the card.

Thank you for joining me today!  Have a great one!

Merry & Bright

Hi there crafty friends!

I am swinging by to share a card inspired by the latest Runway Inspired Challenge.  This was a fun one, don't know why exactly!

I brought out the spray mists, and set to colorizing the front of the card using the colors represented on her dress.

I took the stamps and dies from the Laurels set by Avery Elle, and stamped and impressed those onto the front.  I then stamped my sentiment.

As a last touch, I noticed she was wearing a gold bracelet, so I scattered some fabulous gold sequins onto the card!

Here is a look at the picture.

So, my sweet 5 year old loves to get crafty while I am busy doing the same, and he really wanted to make a card using the inspiration picture too.  I had started inking up a panel of cardstock, and just didn't like the way it looked so I was going to pitch it.  Jonathan had to have it, and turned it into a card!  I said I would share it on my blog, so here it is!  :0) My husband says he should start a child art blog.  What a great idea!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a great one!

CFC122: Out On A Limb

Hi friends!

I am back today with a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge!  This week we are focusing on trees or a tree.  I don't think my card could get any cleaner or simpler than this, folks.  When the nap time ticker counts down, you go as CAS as you can!  Am I right?

For this, I took a new to me stamp set from MFT, called Cheerful Christmas Greetings, and stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Cup O' Joe Shadow ink.  I then did a bit of stamping off with Fresh Ink's Mojito, stamping the three dark green trees first, and filling in with the same color, stamped off once on scratch paper.

To finish it off, I added a few small rhinestones.  Simple and sweet, don't ya think?  Play along this week, there is a fun GC from Ellen Hutson up for grabs!

I hope you are well my friends, have a good one!

A Whole Lotta Sweet!

Hiya friends!

Awhile ago I received a lovely invite from Nicole, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop, to join her team for the next three months.  I, of course, said yes...because, 1. Nicole is the SWEETEST person you will ever meet, 2. The stamps are soooo stinkin' cute, and 3. Did I mention Nicole is the sweetest, and the stamps are so cute?  Yup, that about sums it up!

So, today, I am bringing you the December release and boy, there are some really fun sets this month.  SSS also has a new illustrator, Alyssa Bennet, her stamps are ADORABLE, trust me on that!  Gah!  Shall we begin?

The first set I used is one of my favs, called Elegant Flowers.  This small, sweet set is so puuurty!   After seeing Cristina use this embossing technique, I thought I would give it a try with this set.  Perfect for a solid and matching outline image.

After I stamped the solid flower, I let it dry really well, and went back with Versamark and the outline image, heat embossing it in white.  Seriously, make sure the ink is completely dry when you add the powder...trust me on this one!  I then punched a circle opening, and added a sentiment from a past SSS set, I believe is retired, sorry bout that!  I then finished it off with white gel pen around the panel.

I couldn't resist sharing this simple little card, using the Elegant Flowers set...the days are so dreary now, and I need some bright and happy!

I stamped them in HA's Pale Tomato, Butterbar and one of the purple hues, I just can't remember what it's called.

I am in love with the solid and outline stamps...Super simple, and easy!

Next, is a companion set of sorts, called Elegant Sentiments.  I used this for a masculine card!  I layered on patterned paper and embellishments from Studio Calico, BG and October Afternoon.  I also added some twine from May Arts.

I stamped the Happy along with the Birthday sentiment together, in Cup O' Joe ink!

Next up, is a cutie set from Alyssa, called Cookie Sprinkles.  Sooo so cute!  I used the heart cookie as an embellishment to my card, stamping it on Vellum and heat embossing it in black.  I also stamped the thanks sentiment and heat set that as well.

I adhered a few black cardstock strips and adhered some pearls to match.  As a last addition, I rounded the bottom corners.
