Share Joy Challenge #20

Hey there!

I am back today with the latest Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge. I did a bit of watercoloring with this one, and channeled the spring vibes. I just need spring...

I started with a panel of watercolor paper, and applied Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink to the bottom portion. I wet some of the ink down, and flicked it onto the panel, and let it dry. I then took some water, and did the same, blotting it with a towel to take up the color.

I used the Pocket Full of Sunshine stamp set, and die combo, and cut out the Pocket die with watercolor paper. I then applied Faded Jeans Distress Ink (how appropriate) to the pocket, and allowed it to dry. I stamped my flowers in Onyx Black Versafine, and heat embossed them with clear powder. I then colored them in with Distress ink, and adhered the pocket with foam.

To finish the panel, I stamped the Sending You Love sentiment in Onyx Black and embossed it with clear powder, and adhered the panel to a white card base.

I hope to see your fabulous creations using TE products, linked up in the gallery this week! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me!

Have a great day!

Share Joy Challenge #19

Hello there!

Today is a new Share Joy Challenge over at Taylored Expressions! Just like that, I am moving on to Valentine cards. These months just fly by...

Speaking of flying, this cutie little airplane is adorable!! It is from the Love Is An Adventure set, which I used last week, too, its that fun. I started with a piece of watercolor card stock, and white heat embossed the airplane. I then added a lot of water to the background, and dropped in some aqua watercolor paint, using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi set. I also painted in the airplane and hearts.

Once it was dry, I stamped my sentiment in black , and adhered it to vellum using foam adhesive. I then applied the panel to a red card base. The twine was tied in a little bow, and adhered above the sentiment with strong adhesive.

For this challenge, in case it's not obvious, I chose the Tic-Tac-Toe, the far right, Vertical row. What do you say, give it a try? I hope so! Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Color Challenge #37

Hey there!

I thought I would pop back in here tonight, and share the card I made for the latest color challenge from My Favorite Things. It is a lovely blue/green palette, which I have wanted to try, and I have to admit, I had a hard time with these colors.

When all else fails though, I bring out the florals! I adore them, and they always work with color combos! I also really wanted to use the Mini Modern Blooms set, which I just got, but I don't have the dies, and felt way too lazy to fussy cut them out, lol! Pathetic I know, so I just opted for the larger version.

I started with a striped background stamp, that is now retired, sadly, and white heat embossed it onto a panel. I then sponged on some mint ink along the sides, and popped it up onto a white card base using fun foam.

I stamped out a variety of flowers from the Modern Blooms stamp set, and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered them to my card front in a bouquet, and added a sentiment strip of vellum underneath, which uses the Thanks So Very Much stamp set. I also added some shimmer to the centers of the flowers using the Wink Of Stella glitter pen!

I hope you've enjoyed! Thanks so much for visiting with me. I will "see" you tomorrow for the next Share Joy Challenge!

Thank you Kindly

Hey friends!

How's it going? Great, I hope! I haven't been able to craft for myself, lately..so, I was super happy when I was able to make this card! I always love playing along with the MFT Card Challenges, and this sketch stretched my creativity.

I ended up combining three different stamp sets, and quite frankly, I looove it! I feel like I have trouble making subdued, more muted cards, so, although this isn't totally pastel and soft, it is as close as I can get, lol!

I started by stamping, and coloring the hill image from the new Ewe Are the Best stamp set, onto a white panel, using Distress Inks, and a bit of masking. I also stamped a sentiment from Delicate Pretty Poppies right below. I trimmed it down, and adhered two strips of Khaki patterned papers from the Neutral Dots & Stripes collection before popping the panel up on a white card base, using foam.

I then die cut the bird, tree, and clouds using the London Mouse stamp set, and matching dies. I colored them, and adhered them to my card front with foam. Although it is hard to see in the picture, but I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the clouds, bird, and tree, for a bit of shimmer!

Thank you for stopping in to see! I hope you have a great day.

Share Joy Challenge #18

Hello!

The latest Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge is up! I just loved the inspiration picture, with the gradient colors, the banner, and the wood.

For my card, I ended up just incorporating the gradient colors, and it was fun!

I used the adorable Love Is An Adventure, along with Distress Inking, and watercoloring. I started with the heart balloon image, black heat embossing it onto watercolor paper. I then watercolored the balloon, and the bucket, using the Kuretake Gansi Tambi pigments.

After I die cut it, I allowed it to dry. I then heat embossed my sentiment in white powder onto a piece of black card stock. I then began working on my ink blending. I started from dark to light using a round sponge applicator. I then adhered the black sentiment strip with foam, along with a strip of gold glitter paper. I attached the heart balloon with foam, as well, and rounded the bottom corners.

What do you say? Give it a go? I hope you do, and I can't wait to see! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #17

Hey there, friends!

I am here with this weeks Taylored Expressions, Share Joy Challenge #17!

I chose to turn the sketch counter-clockwise, and keep the tag element. I used the adorable Balloon Buddies stamp set, and coordinating dies to create a fun and colorful birthday card.

I started with a piece of watercolor card stock, and blended yellow inks onto it. I flicked a bit of water, and allowed it to dry. White that dried, I created a tag, using my Crop-O-Dile, and Corner Chomper, and watercolored it with blue pigment. White that was drying, I stamped my image, and watercolored it, as well. I die cut it out, and layered all of my elements onto a white card base.

I slipped in a bit of black glitter paper onto the side of the panel, and added a bit of purple twine to the tag.

So, wanna play? I can't wait to see what you make! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day.
