Thanks Bunches...

Seriously, THANK YOU!  Thank you for all of your kind words of congratulations on my Top 20 Gallery Idol win.  I am still in shock and can't quite believe it!  I am sooo excited to show you my project for the next round on Monday the 11th (yes, I made it already)!  If you are not familiar with Gallery Idol click the link above.  I am not one to beg or plead but if you feel so inclined...VOTE FOR ME!  Heehee!  My shameless plug-in right there, what can I say?!

So I have to say this card didn't materialize the way I had imagined it and might not be as CAS as it started out to be.  CAS-ual Friday's newest challenge is to create a shaped card.  I wanted to find a fun template but I didn't seem to like any of them, so I opted for the Blossom Nestabilities instead.

I colored three pepper images from the Vegtastic set in yellow, green and yes purple!  I looove purple peppers!  If you can find them, try one!  They are very mild and great with your choice of dip, yum!  Anywho, cut them out and adhered them together in a bunch.

I then die cut a piece of vellum in the next smaller size die and ran it through the Swiss Dot EF to give it texture.  Now, I have done this before and always forget that running the piece through the Xyron sticker maker is NOT a good idea...it seems to tint it and when the oils from your fingers smooth the edges they tinge brown.  Nope don't like it at all.

I adhered my images down, stamped my sentiment in brown (which i didn't like, so I highlighted it with a white gel pen) tied around some twine and couldn't resist some rhinestones.  So there you have it, my CAS not so CAS shaped card.

Thank you for stopping by today, I will catch you Monday at 12 when Gallery Idol resumes!  Can't wait!!

Lindsay

  22. Ok, I will admit, at first I was like, a purple pepper? Then, I read your post. There are really purple peppers? I have NEVER seen one. How bizarre! Either way, it looks adorable nested among the other two. So glad you have joined us this week at CAS-ual Fridays.
