Sprinkled With Fun

Hello again, and happy Friday!

I have a fun little card to share with you, and I am super excited about it, because it took forever for me to acquire this stamp set (or it seems like it)!  I just couldn't wait to ink it up!  I looove it, and hopefully I won't overuse it, haha!  So, I combined two challenges for this card, the latest Curtain Call, um how perfect!  DONUTS!  And, of course, the MFT Sketch Challenge.  Here are the inspo graphics:

My card:

Instead of the wave like the sketch portrays, I went straight.  I trimmed a white panel, and stamped my sentiment from the Donuts and Sprinkles set, in Onyx Black ink, clear heat embossing it for a shiny look.  I added a bit of yellow chevron patterned paper from the Brights paper pad from Avery Elle, to the bottom of a card, and popped up my panel.

I added a bit of brown cardstock to ground the panel, and then I added the fun elements!  Seriously pinch me, they make me giddy!  I started with cream cardstock, and die cut the large circle donut first, inking the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink to give it a bit of dimension.  I then die cut the frosting from brown cardstock, and then again using the sprinkles die.  I took a piece of pink cardstock, and die cut the sprinkles again, inserting them into the empty spaces on the brown frosting.

I then die cut the smaller donut, and adhered some pink frosting to it, as well as some Rock Candy Distress Glitter, using Multi medium Matte glue.

Yeah, I kinda love it.  I hope you do too!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I am off to do more shoveling, blech!

  4. Super delicious. And my thoughts - a. you rock the crap outta getting the sprinkles in place. b. the pink sparkly donut needs to be in my mouth. c. your straightforward style begs for the straight line. Totally natural. xoxo
