I am back again today, to share a card made for the new MFT challenge blog. I was so excited to see Susan Opel at the helm, and just had to play along. I also geared my card towards Virginia's View Challenge: Clean Slate. I love white space, for sure!! If there is one thing I want to do more of in the new year, it is get myself to create out of my comfort zone, and participating in challenges are just the ticket.
This first challenge features a sketch:
How adorable is this little girl image? Gah! I love anything Torico (Birdie Brown) illustrates. This set, Warmest Wishes, is a really cute one she did a few months back. So, I started by taking the Friend Die-namics, and ran it through with a white panel. I backed the opening with soft vellum, and inked the edges of the panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I die cut the little girl out, and stamped it with it coordinating image, coloring her in with a variety of Copic Markers, shown below. I added the panel with foam tape, as well as my image, and the sentiment strip. As a final detail I took a white gel pen and created falling snow on the top portion of the panel, and my Wink of Stella to glitter the word Friend.
Thanks sooo much for stopping by! I hope you are able to find a bit of time to get crafty, or just color. It is currently -20 with the wind chill, so I plan on staying warm inside, and doing the afore mentioned! Happy crafting!
