Fall Congrats!

Welcome, welcome!

Thanks for stopping my way on this special hop!  As part of Kate's DT for i {heart} papers, all of us are celebrating her marriage with a congratulatory blog hop.  You should have arrived from Linda's blog.  I got a lovely glimpse of her hair and the gorgeous fall foliage decorating it, in a picture on FB, and it totally inspired my card today.

All of the supplies for my card can be found in the store, so be sure to go check it out when you get a chance.  To start, I took a white card base, and stamped a polka dot pattern from Paper Smooches Borderlicious set in Hero Art's Cup O' Joe ink.

I then die cut letter from Lawn Fawn's Coles ABC's, and colored them with Copics, adhering them with foam (that was a bear !!).

I also die cut leaves from Paper Smooches Leaves 1 die set, out of patterned paper from Studio Calico's Snippets collection.

Thanks for hopping by, now on your way to see the lovely Lori!  If you need a little road map, here is the list of participants:

An Object Inspired Hello Card

Hey there!

How is the weekend almost over already?  My, oh my, the days go so fast, don't they?

So, this is the object in question...a lovely Fireking Milk glass cup and saucer.  I wanted to create something with similar colors, so I used a few Hero Arts Shadow inks and created this super clean and simple card.

I reached for Wplus9's Fresh Cut Florals, and stamped the larger blooms in Mint Julep (found in this set), and the inner flower in Tide Pool.  I then stamped the leaves in Soft Granite.

I stamped the Hello from Wplus9's Strictly Sentiments 2 and finished it off with a scattering of frosted bling.

I matted my white panel onto a piece of vellum, to tone the gray cardstock down a bit.  It didn't seem like the right shade of gray.  Overall, though, I really like it.  I hope you do too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Darling

Hey there!

It's finally the end of the week, wahoo!  I have a card to share with you, using the latest CAS(E) this Sketch and the Metal, Wood, & Cork challenge over at The Moxie Fab World.  Inspiration has been a little dry lately, so I turned to using one of my previous cards as my inspiration.  I used the LO, as well as the vellum for my project.

For this, I used a whole lotta Wplus9, that you can find in the i {heart} papers store.  :)

CFC115: Fall Colors & A Leaf

Friday!!  Wohooo!

It is time again for another fabulous CAS-ual Friday Challenge!  This time around, it is all about lovely fall colors, and adding a leaf to your clean and simple project.

I took a piece of paper, and adhered strips of colorful cardstock to it.  I then took a leaf from Paper Smooches, and die cut it out of the center of my panel.

I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Thanks stamp set in Onyx black, and popped the panel up onto white cardstock.

I hope you play along this week!  There is a $25 dollar gift certificate up for grabs to Simon Says Stamp!

Golden Love

Hello!

As I said yesterday, I had some play time after we returned home from our camping trip the other night, and I was on a bit of a roll...I shared this card using the Love die from Memory Box, and decided to use it again.  It's so purty!  I used the All That Glitters Is Gold challenge over at the Moxie Fab World as a starting point for this, and have to say, there will be more gold goodness to come.  Bwahaha!  Fair warning, ya'll.

To start, I used a bit of patterned paper from Dear Lizzy's Polka Dot Party paper pad, and covered the front of a white card base.  I then trimmed a white panel, and die cut the word Love from the front.

Using glitter tape from American Crafts, I adhered a few strips down onto my card front, and adhered the panel with foam tape, over it.  I then finished it off with a few gold gems.

Well, that's all I have!  I will be back tomorrow with an all new card for the CAS-ual Friday challenge blog.  Have a great one!

Love

Hey everyone!

Well then, how did all of this time pass between posts?  Sheesh.  I wish I could say that I was busy making projects, but that would be a lie!  I did get to go on a weekend camping trip, and boy was that fun!  When I returned I eagerly hit the craft table and created a little card for the Runway Inspired Challenge.  I used some fabulous goodness from the i {heart} papers store...check it out.

I started with a white panel, and adhered my die cut trees.  I then adhered vellum over top, and added a bit of glitter tape.

I then die cut the word Love from a Memory Box die and sprinkled the front with sequins.  To finish it, I adhered the panel to a white card base.

Here is a pic of the dress...oh!  Lovely!

A Craft Dash Thanks

Hiya peeps!

How is your day going?  Have you been able to get crafty?  I sure hope so!  I had a moment last night to make a little something for the latest 10 minute Craft Dash over at Paulina's blog.  I sure do love this challenge, especially when I am sorta in a hurry.  ;0) My time wasn't the greatest, but I did come in under 10...like 9 min. 25 sec.

So, the colors she chose are some of my favs, and I used a couple of stamp sets that you can find in the i {heart} papers store.  The first is Leafy Greens from Paper Smooches.  Oh my, do I love those big solid leaves.  I stamped them in Hero Arts Butterbar, Mint Julep and Soft Brown around my white cardstock panel.  I didn't really have a good aqua dye ink...hm.

I then took the Thanks from Chit Chat and added a bit of brown Copic marker to color them in with a bit of a gradient.  To finish it off, I adhered it to a Kraft card base, and added a few Studio Calico wood print sequins.  Now, I must confess, after I stopped the timer, I went back with a clear Spica glitter pen and added a bit of shimmer to the Thanks.  You can't see it very well in the pic.

Here is the graphic:

Thank You

Hello crafty friends!

How is your week starting off?  Good, I hope!  I am stopping by to share my card using the latest Runway Inspired challenge.  Seriously, what a fun one, all of those elements to gain inspiration from...

So, to start I took a piece of water color paper and painted on a bit of yellow distress ink, allowed it to dry and pulled out the grid stamp from Mama Elephants Be You set, and stamped it in black.  I then stamped the Thank You banner from the Many Thanks set in Hero Arts new silver ink, cut it out and popped it up.

I added a bit of a chevron, and adhered some black enamel dots, cause ya know, I {heart} them.  HAHA!

Here is a look at the inspirational pic:

Happy Camper

Hey hey!

How is your Saturday going?  Great I hope!  I thought I would pop in to share my card using this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  Kate has a ton of really great stamp sets in the i {heart} papers store, and one of them is this fun set from Avery Elle.  I used it in conjuction with the sketch.

To start, I stamped the camper image and colored it in with colored pencils, using a fun orange and green color combo.  I then matted the panel onto some orange cardstock and then onto a white card base.

I took a sentiment from this set, and stamped it in black, adding a few orange enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CFC114: Back to School

Happy Friday!

This week went zooming by for me, and here we are with another challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays!  This week is about back to school.  My little guy started kindergarten a couple of weeks ago, and I am still trying to figure out how the time flew!  So, back to the card, ahem...I took a different approach to my BTS card.  :0)

I went all encouraging here, the sentiment and the light bulb made me think of learning new things!  I love that this kind of card can also be for just about anything else too.

I used two Mama Elephant sets for this, Lights Out and Bling.  To start, I stamped the lightbulb in Butterbar, and Wet Cement, heat embossing the filament with white powder.  I then stamped my sentiment in gray and added black enamel dots.

I hope you play along with us!  We can't wait to see what you make!

With Gratitude

Hey there!

Long time, no blog...sorry bout that.  We went up to Michigan to visit with my husbands family.  It is always so nice to get away!  I wanted to share a little card I whipped up super quick using the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World, Honoring Ombre.  Love that cake, and the lovely colors!

To start, I took inspiration from the butterfly and stamped a border of them across the front of a white panel, using Studio Calico's Calico Borders set.  I then took two distress ink, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberries and created a pallet with them, blending the colors together and applying them to the panel.  I seriously need some distress markers, I believe they would make this kind of thing suuuuper easy!

I splattered the color onto the panel and let it dry, which seriously took two seconds.  I then adhered it to a pinkish card base, and added some gems, as well as a fab sentiment from the Many Thanks set from Paper Smooches.

Here is a pic of the trigger:
