CFC102- Red, White & Blue!

Hey, hey!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to my American friends!  Today, the Girl-Friday's are bringing you a patriotic inspiration parade!  This week's challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays has us making red, white and blue our main focus, won't you play along?

For my card,   I started by die cutting one of Lifestyle Craft's nested star dies from my white panel.  I then double die cut a larger star from red cardstock, and adhered it with foam over the negative space.

Taking a navy card base, I white heat embossed a little star, and after stamping my sentiment, I popped the panel up onto my base with foam.  The sentiment is actually two differnt ones from Avery Elle's Handwritten Notes set, but I did a bit of selective inking to bring these words together.  To finish it off, I added a few rhinestones.

I do hope you play along with us!  The prize up for grabs this week, is a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Wow - this just goes POP! Love the touch of bling and that teeny touch of embossing is perfect!

I recently purchased a copy of Stamp It! #9 and absolutely love your cards in it - having happy moments paging through that on this end.

(thanks for your well wishes, HUGS!)

  3. I saw this in CASual Friday's gallery and was immediately drawn to it but didn't realize it was yours until I stopped by your blog. I was going to do something similar as soon as my star dies arrive.
