Hey there! I hope you are having a relaxing weekend. My husband is on vacation this week and we have planned a stay-cation of sorts. Our swimming plans were thwarted today by rain, so I got to get a little crafty inside. John's brother is getting married this weekend and I needed a card, so I was inspired to create using the sketch from Papercrafts special issue, Card Ideas for Paper Crafters over on the Moxie Fab World blog. I actually had a card published in this issue using this sketch and was excited to try it again for my card today. For my colors I combined it with CR84FN's lovely color scheme of light blue, teal and a neutral.
Starting with a Spring Rain panel, I adhered a piece of patterned paper from Lily Bee Designs, Picket Fence line.
Using the Tattered Flower die, I distressed and layered my vellum pieces and attached a Hawaiian Shores button to it with white embroidery floss.
Stamped my sentiment onto a white die cut (Label Basics die) and attached it to my flower.
Here is a look at the sketch and the inspirational colors:
I hope you have a wonderful Labor day, if you are in the US. I will catch you later!
Lindsay
