I chose to work with Chan's awesome sketch for my card today. I went in a totally different direction with it than you would think this sketch might represent. Those scallops? I see waves...check it out:
Starting with two pieces of card stock, I die cut scallops from both and using their negatives adhered the panels to a white card base, trimming off the access.
I then ran a tan piece of card stock through my Big Shot with Papertrey Ink's Linen and Canvas Impression Plate to create the look of sand. I tore it into a mound and attached it to my card base.
Stamped, colored and cut out the pelican from Paper Smooches Surf n' Turf set, along with the wood pilings that I stamped and cut out, adhering them to my sand mound.
Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from Word Up (Paper Smooches) and finished it off with some letter stickers from Lily Bee Designs.
I hope you were inspired by my card today, thank you for popping by!
Supplies:
Paper: White, Fine Linen, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Dark Chocolate Papertrey Ink
Stamps: Surf & Turf, Word Up Paper Smooches
Ink: Tuxedo Black Tsukineko, Copic Markers
Embellishments: Letter Stickers Lily Bee Designs
Tools: Large Scallop Die Papertrey Ink
