Botanical Thinking of You

Hello there!  Thank you so much for your amazing support during Gallery Idol.  I feel so blessed to be in this competition and am having so much fun!  To see my post with my project click here or scroll down, also be sure to go vote here.

Cath has a Moxie Fab challenge up over at the Moxie Fab world, Fanatical about Botanical, so for my card today, I incorporated those things in a simple way.

I pulled out Hero Art's Antique Engravings for this used three of the four butterfly images.  Heat embossed them onto Lemon Tart card stock and then painted with Distress inks using a paint brush and a mist of water.  Last, I adhered matching clear buttons to the centers using Glossy Accents.

I adhered the panel to a block of Crate Paper's Portrait Collection floral paper and adhered the whole thing to a Rustic White card base.

I hope you enjoyed!  Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today!  Have a great one friend.

Lindsay

  14. Thud. Absolutely gorgeous, Lindsay! The background pp you used is the reason I bought the Portrait paper pad, and now I can see why I was attracted to it--this is just breathtaking! The way you did the butterflies, painting with distress inks . . . a mist of water . . . I've got to try that sometime! The buttons are the perfect finishing touch. I would frame this and put it up in my house!
