Virginia's View Challenge #21

Hello, hello!

I am back today with a card for Virginia's View Challenge. I am sure you have seen the news, that she is taking a break from the challenge for awhile. I have been a fan since who knows when, and I will miss it! Good challenges are hard to find, ya'll! So, glitter. Yeah, glitter and I, we haven't really been friends. With that said, I decided to save myself, and my craft room floor, and use glitter paper from DCWV instead.

To start, I sponged on a bit of Hickory Smoke Distress Ink in the center of the card. A good tip, blot off as much ink as possible before bringing it to the paper. You are less likely to get blobs. Next, I die cut the beautiful rose from Winnie & Walter's In Bloom: Maggie's Roses, from black card stock, and adhered those to the card base.

I used the In a Word: Hello Cutaway to die cut three black pieces, and glued them together. I then die cut one from gold glitter paper, and layered that on top. I adhered that piece over top of my flower, and added a leaf die cut and stamped the word "gorgeous," from The Big, the Bold, and You, in black ink.

The supplies are listed below. Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you have an awesome day!

  1. Wow! This card is amazing. Couldn't tell you and glitter aren't friends. The lay-out, the usage of colour, the placing of words... It really caught my eye!

  2. Oh My Goodness Lindsay this is a showstopper - it is absolutely magnificent!

  3. Love it! Such a great combination of black and gold glitter. TFS

  4. This is just lovely! Love how clean and simple it is!
