Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Helloooo!

I am back today to join the fun this month, for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! 
Aside from coffee, I do love a giant, hot cup of liquid awesome, er..hot CHOCOLATE! I am only slightly obsessed with chocolate, so to put its beauty in liquid form, I could not refuse!


I used the fun Hug In A Mug set from My Favorite Things, and did a lot of ink blending! I started with a panel of watercolor card stock, which I find blends Distress Inks really well, and added Evergreen Bough to the bottom portion using a foam applicator. I then spritzed on water, and ink for interest. I allowed it to dry, and then stamped my sentiment at the top, using a dark brown ink.


I die cut the fun mug die, and colored it up with various pink Distress Inks. I also white heat embossed a snowflake from the set, onto the front of the mug.


When it was done, I adhered it to my panel with foam tape, and adhered a few "marshmallows" that I die cut from white card stock.

    Ah-mazing! My jaw dropped to the floor! The splattery goodness of the background is awesome and I LOVE the tones of the colors. So yummy!

    This is striking! I love the background ink blending! I've never tried it on watercolor cardstock - thanks for the tip! I will try that ASAP! :) Beautiful card!

    Love the watercoloring technique you used for your background...just saw a You Tube tutorial on it and it seemed like something I could do. Your card has such soft colors and very striking.

    This looks delicious! Love the background you've used, and the bit of spritzing. That MFT mug is so perfect and that embossed snowflake completes the wintery effect. Very sweet!! Bev
