Hey friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous week! I am back today with my card for this weeks MFT card challenge! I used stamps and dies from their latest release, and oh my, they are so so cute! Take a look at this fun sketch..
I went with the adorable London Mouse set, as well as the London Skyline to create a dimensional card.
To begin, I took a white panel and stamped the Distressed Stripes in a light vanilla ink, and rounded the corners with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. I then die cut a square out of the center, and set it aside. On the card base, I added a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create a sky, and then layered up the London Skyline, which I die cut from vellum. I also added a piece of green card stock that I had die cut from the Rolling Hills die set, to the scene.
After I stamped and die cut the clouds and tree, along with the adorable little soldier, I colored them in with Copic Markers. For my sentiment, I got creative, and did a little masking on the Hello Sunshine sentiment from the Polynesian Paradise set from last month. I simply covered up the H, as well as the word Sunshine with a piece of post it tape, inked it up, and then removed the masks. After I stamped it, I trimmed it out, and added a bit of detail with a black multi-liner.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you find time to play along this week! Have a great day.
You are one creative crafter! Masking the "h" in Hello to make 'ello is just plain brilliant! The soft stripes on your frame add a nice subtle touch without overpowering the focal image. You did a fabulous job with this sketch.
