Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello!

Masculine cards don't happen for me much, sad but true.  However, I needed one for my dad, and using goodies that you can find at the i {heart} papers store, created this card.

The ever talented Julie Ebersole showed this neat technique in an online card class a while back, where you emboss on your project using a stencil, and then using the same stencil, add your medium.  So, for this, I ran the Tim Holtz Bubble stencil through my Big Shot using Tab 1, then a plate.  Next up, is the stencil, which is underneath the paper, to which you then add two rubber mats and then your top plate.  The key to it is the two mats.

I then cleaned my stencil really well, and placed it right over the embossed areas, inking it up with Distress Inks and a foam applicator.

Using the You're So Kind stamp set from Hero Arts, I black heat embossed my greeting onto a piece of vellum, trimmed it down, and adhered it to the panel.  I added a few sequins for good measure.

I just took a peek over at the store, and if you are interested in scoring 30% off everything, you had better hurry, cause it's going fast!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
