It's Saturday, wahoo!
I got a little crafting in last night, and wanted to not only make another Washi Tape card for the Gallery Idol competition, but participate in the latest Avery Elle challenge: Botanicals. If you know me and my creations, you know I love florals.
My favorite floral set from Avery Elle would have to be their Thanks A Bunch set. It takes a bit of time, but the end result is fab! So, for this card, I went super simple with the tape. Using a sheet of tape and trimming it down, I adhered it to the card base, and then on the panel, popping that up to get a dimensional effect.
I stamped my bouquet offset with pigment ink. I stamped the light color first, and then with a sponge dauber, added darker shades of ink onto the inked image. I then stamped the tag and sentiment, cut it out and popped it up. A little black embroidery floss tied into a bow completed the look. It's hard to see in the photo, but I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend, friends!
The bouquet on your card is beautiful! I also like your use of washi tape, it adds some punch with its boldness!
ReplyDeleteLove the brightness in the colors and how the bouquet goes off the panel, the washi is a great contrast!

LOVE this combination of the bright yellow flowers with the black and white striped washi, Lindsay! Another winner, I think!
ReplyDeleteI already love this card- like the idea of daubering the colour- looks so much better than when I try the same thing with a whole ink pad! Must remember that tip!!
ReplyDeleteLindsay, this is beautiful- LOVE the placement of the flower bouquet and the black and white tape is so striking! Thank you so much for sharing your creation with the AEI{heart}U Challenge!
