Stamp Out Chaos: Embellishments

Hi friends!

Thanks so much for sharing in my good news yesterday!  In case, you missed it...this happened!

So, in keeping with the Stamp Out Chaos posts, today I bring you embellishments!  I feel like I am pretty organized in this area, so I didn't change much, but I will share what I do have, and how it is stored.

I have a metal hanging rod from IKEA, that holds a basket for enamel dots, gems and glitter ribbon.  These are close to my desk, mostly because I use them on so many projects.  You know me, and my cards...not one is complete without a sprinkle.

In a drawer to my right is where I store my boxes of small pieces such as sequins, wood veneer, and brads.  A lot of this is Studio Calico bits that I have parted out.

The tackle boxes are a great way to store small embellishments, and they are super cheap too!

My favorite find for all of my sequins, came from the jewelry section!  This bad boy is my favorite, because it contains separate containers, where nothing can fall out.

These containers are so fun, because they hold just the right amount and the lid screws on.  They were a bit more costly, I think around 6 dollars, but well worth it to not have sequins flying everywhere when I travel to crops or when my toddler gets a hold of one.

Sadly, that is the extent of my embellishment storage.  Because I usually create clean and simple projects, I tend to shy away from buying too many small bits and such, because I know I will never use them.  I hope, though, that you found something useful.  With that, how about a card using those embellishments?

I heat embossed white diamonds onto a panel, and adhered it to a white card base.  I then trimmed a bit of patterned paper from the latest SC card kit and adhered some vellum over it.

To finish it, I added a Paper Smooches thanks word die cut and a stamped sentiment below.  Of course, I brought out those Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins and added those with strong adhesive.

Well, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for stopping!  I truly appreciate it.  I will be back soon!
