You're 1!

Happy Friday!  I am popping in today to share a little card I made for my sweetie-pie nephew, who is turning one this coming week!  It's so hard to believe how fast they grow.  Happy Birthday to Peyton!

For my card, I used Bazzill Card Shoppe's Marshmallow, Robin's Egg, and Juicy Pear.  Starting with a white panel, I used a fun embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts called Twirl on the lower portion.  I then adhered a strip of aqua cardstock and a die cut number one, also from Lifestyle Crafts (it's an older Quickutz, that is not in the store).

By the way, if you purchase anything from Lifestyle Crafts, use the "I Made This" button on the sidebar and save 20%!  Be sure to key in NOTETOSELF to get your savings!

I hope you've enjoyed, have a wonderful weekend!  I will leave you with this adorable pic of my nephew when he was just a month old.

The Ribbon Carousel & Helmar Blog Hop

Today the Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the designers from Helmar to bring you a blog hop full of crafty goodness!  I love trying new adhesives and Helmar's is one of the best!  They were generous enough to send me some to try out.  Check out The Ribbon Carousel blog for all of the deets for this fun hop.

For my project, I tested the strength of their liquid adhesive on the mulberry roses and twine that I adhered to the front of my Buttermint card panel.  I simply tied a bow and glued it and the flowers down.  They aren't going anywhere, this stuff is strong!

To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from Wplus9's Heartfelt Mix set in Fresh Ink's Mojito, and a line of jewels underneath to set it off.  I rounded the corners of my panel and adhered it to a Cotton Candy Bazzill card base with foam adhesive.

Enjoy!

Ribbon Carousel Challenge 72- Buttons and Twine

Ah, two of my favorite embellishments, buttons and twine!  That is the latest challenge over at The Ribbon Carousel challenge blog.  Won't you play along?  Here is how I was inspired.

To start, I brought out the Potpourri stamp set from Paper Smooches and stamped it in various shades of green ink onto a Marshmallow panel.  I then stamped my sentiment in black and added a little bling.

I wrapped a bit of green/white May Arts twill around the white panel and secured a twine threaded button with a glue dot.  I then secured the panel to a pink Bazzill card base.

Thanks so much for popping by!  I hope you play along with us this week.  I will be back tomorrow with a super fun blog hop, you don't want to miss!

The Craft's Meow Release Blog Hop

Hi there!  Welcome, welcome!  You should have arrived here from   Karen Baker's blog, if not, go to The Craft's Meow Blog for all of the info for today's festivities!  Let's get started, shall we?!

For my card today, I picked up Kaitlyn's set, Good Times.  LOVE this set, seriously check out the sentiment, lol!  To start, I stamped the arrow image repeatedly in different colors and cut them all out.  I then adhered them to a Marshmallow panel.

Popping up the panel onto a white card base, I then stamped and cut out the frame and sentiment, adhering it with foam tape.

I will leave you with this little project...

Using different distress inks, I covered the front of my white card base.  I then took the arrow image and spritzed it with water, stamping straight onto the front.  I love the way it reacts with the inks, leaving a ghost image.  I then added my sentiment and matching threaded buttons.

Thank you so much for coming by today.  Next, on your stop is the lovely Mabelle R-O's blog.  Don't forget to leave comments on everyone's blog for a chance to win all of the sets for this month!

The Craft's Meow Release Preview- Golden Days/Good Times

Hello, hello!  I am back to share the last two sets that The Craft's Meow is releasing this month, called Golden Days, designed by the lovely Karen Baker and Good Times, by Katlyn Ord.  Love both of these! This month, Golden Days is the free set when you purchase $50 or more.

To start with Karen's set, I took a panel of Bazzill's Buttermint cardstock, and stamped three of the leaf images, using the rock and roll technique.  I then stamped the sentiment, and mounted it onto Peanut Cluster and then onto a Kraft card base.

For my next card, using Good Times, I stamped the arrow image in orange, peach and pink and added some flecks of orange ink.

I then stamped one of the sentiments and rounded one corner, and by the way, the sentiments in this set are sure to please!

I hope you've enjoyed today's previews.  Remember to leave a comment over at The Craft's Meow blog for a chance to win one of these sets.  I will be back tomorrow for the release hop!

The Craft's Meow Release Preview- Fall Blessings/Fall w/Fibi & Lilly

Hello and welcome to day three of The Craft's Meow release previews!  I hope you are enjoying them so far.  Today, I have two sets to share with you, both illustrated by Mabelle R-O.  The first set, Fall Blessings, is so sweet...

I decided on a fall tag, and created this little number.  To start, I flicked some orange mist onto a manilla tag and inked the edges.  I then took a palette of fall colors and stamped the leaves around the tag edges.

I paper-pieced the pumpkin and added a bit of woodgrain patterned paper (Studio Calico's Elmwood Park Kit) and stamped my sentiment in Walnut Stain ink.  Lastly, I added a bit of orange Divine Twine.

For the next set, Fall with Fibi and Lilly, I focused on the pumpkins and paper-pieced them onto my card front.  Taking a bit of Bazzill's Banana Split cardstock, cut down to 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, I added a border punched strip of October Afternoon's 9-5 papers, popping up one of the pumpkins with foam adhesive.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment, again in Walnut Stain distress ink.

Stop on by The Craft's Meow's Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win one of these stamp sets, and be sure to hop on over to see my teamies use of these cutie sets also!

Hi, glad you could join me again today!  The previews for The Craft's Meow August release are in full swing and I have some fun samples to share with you today.  Elizabeta Kushner has done it again with another gorgeous set, called Lovely Ovals.  Designed to match Spellbinder's Classic Oval dies, this set is a must have.  It is packed with elegance.

For my card today, I went a little bit more layered, starting with some lovely papers from My Mind's Eye.  I also added some chipboard from Crate Paper.

I die cut my oval from Butter Mint Cardstock using Spellbinder's Oval Nestability and stamped with the coordinating frame.  I then added my sentiment.

For my next card, I used the long border strip and one of the sentiments and set it off with a bit of bling from Want2Scrap on a piece of Cotton Candy cardstock.

The Craft's Meow Release Preview- Vintage Clocks

Hello there my friend!  Today marks the first day of The Craft's Meow's August Release and the first fabulous set is called Vintage Clocks, illustrated by NinaB Designs.

To start, I used a card base of Wplus9's Oatmeal cardstock, stamping off the clocks once with a dark brown ink and again onto my card base.

Lastly, I added my sentiment.

For my next card using this set, I chose a card base of Bazzill Card Shoppe's Rock Candy, to which I added  a panel of Robin's Egg, embossed with a white clock.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment in black ink.  Two super simple cards today!
