No Orange? Boo!

Hey hey!  Life is busy here at the Amrhein house, and the motivation to craft is just not up to snuff.  I know, I have said it before, but when the mojo goes low a challenge I will play!  Enter CAS-ual Fridays Halloween challenge with NO orange.  It's funny, I don't usually make Halloween cards and I have no idea what I am going to do with the ones I have made but it certainly was fun to make them!

I broke out some Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist in purple and went to town on a cream panel, stamped the spiderwebs (from Happy H'owl'oween from TCM and matted it onto black card stock.  I then stamped the spider, cut him out and paper-pieced his eyes from white card stock.  Lastly, I added my sentiment with American Crafts Letter stickers.

That's about it!  I am hoping to squeeze in some more time this week for a couple other challenges I love to play along with, we shall see.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

  5. This is so cute, Lindsay! I never used to make Halloween cards (and certainly didn't send any), but I like to stay in touch with extended family scattered all over the country with notes every few months, so I use my Halloween cards as a to brighten up my normal correspondence. It's fun to be seasonal and change things up a bit. :)

  16. This is truly adorable! What a fun take on the challenge! Your card almost makes me this that spiders are cute, not creepy, but the ones that invade my house, don't look like the ones are your card...
