Hello Friend

Can you believe it is World Card Making day again?!  October seemed so far away at one point and now here it is.  I am so glad there is a day set aside for one of my favorite hobbies!  I love to make cards and making cards wouldn't mean a thing if we didn't have friends and family to send them to.  A handmade card can make anyone's day extra special so onto my card...

Layering October Afternoon's Seaside and Thrift shop papers onto a 4x4 mini card base, I die-cut a large scallop strip, adhered it and added my own green seam binding crinkle ribbon.

Stamped the butterfly in Memento ink and colored it with Copics, adding a few highlights with a white gel pen, cut it out and adhered it.  The sentiment was stamped in versamark and heat set with black embossing powder.

Along with that took a piece of Tattered Angels Chip and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. adhered chipboard swirl to my card front.  Attached a Prima rosette to the center of my bow.

Now, it wouldn't be a celebration if there weren't any prizes involved so I am giving away a $10.00 gift certificate to either Papertrey Ink or Two Peas, winners choice, along with the Diamond Lace EK Success border punch.  Winner will be chosen from the comments by Random.org on Wednesday October 6th.  Thank you friends, for celebrating with me today!  Have a good one!

  2. So now I realize what keeps me coming back, besides your overall wonderful cards....It is how you layer elements without the card looking crowded or overdone. I just love it. Probably because I can't do it myself and admire anyone that can. I hope that you will have a fabulous day!
