Thank You - A Father's Day Card

I had some time to make a card for my dad for Father's Day coming up. These things always sneak up on me, so I thought I would get ahead, ha! I know I just played along with Virginia's Challenge, to create and Ombre or Monochromatic card, but I wanted to play along again.

I focused on the ombre night sky, using three blue Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire. I made sure to mask off the sides, so that the edges were crisp. Using Mama Elephant's Bear Hugs stamp set, I white heat embossed a tiny star from the set onto the card front.

I then stamped the set of bears, coloring them in with Copic Markers, and trimming it out, before adhering it, along with the grass die cut, and moon, to the card front. My sentiment was heat embossed onto the card using White embossing powder from Hero Arts.

You can check out how I created it in the video above! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. you did a fantastic job, the card is very moving, the sky neat and your embossing superb. i'm impressed that you worked directly on your card base. it's great because the card is light and simple that way but oh scary if you mess one step! you did everything perfectly, i watched your video so carefully, thank you so much for sharing! which paper did you work on ? i didn't get that part at the beginning of the video....
