Craft Room

Hello there!  Thanks for stopping by!  I wanted to post pics of my finished craft room for you and finally got the pics ready!  If you missed my previous post about my new room you can click here to see it being worked on.    My husband did so much work on this room, and I can't thank him enough for it!  He is a true gem.  So how bout a tour?  Is a work in progress and I am still working on decorating it to my liking but for now, here it is!

Entering in...must find Aqua curtains.

My desk (parents got this for me for my 15th b-day, yeah it's old).  A lamp that needs refurbished...and the picture frame of my first published card that needs hung.

A little sitting area...

A cabinet I purchased at Lowe's with shelves for stuff I don't use that often.  My mom gave me the wicker shelf that is on top of it and I put my button jars and ribbon on it.   Next to it is a large standing shelf that I painted, which houses my paper and some woodblock stamps, along with magazines.

I also purchased this little shelf.  I also found a trio of small apothecary jars from a closeout store and put buttons in them that match my color decor.

This piece is one of my favorites!  My mom found this and gave it to me when I told her I needed a place to put my embellishments!  Here is my fav drawer...bling!  On top of it, I house my inks and Papertrey Ink stamps.

The last thing I purchased was this big cube unit with bright pink bins!  I now have a fun die cut center and storage area.  I also put my heat embossing tools and powder in a small canvas bin along with it's neighbor that holds flock, stickles, Tattered Angels products and Ranger paint Daubers.

My most favorite thing in the room though?  This FABULOUS piece my husband put together.  When you don't have a lot of $$$ to work with being creative is the best money saver.  John picked up this lab table while he was in college at a surplus store and it has sat out in our shed forever.  He took the top off and replaced it with a piece of counter from upstairs.  But he didn't stop there...he added a painted board to the bottom so I would have a shelf.  Love that man.  I also had a little end table that I painted and put on the end for more Copic storage.  The tin also holds pens, pencils and my scissors, as well as my Big Bite.  I need a little bar stool, otherwise it's perfect for my needs!

On the bottom shelf I house my misc. stamps and paper scraps, along with a caddy I use for adhesives and misc. tools.

One last thing, another gift from my mom, this little dowel holder was a honey colored wood, so I spray painted it yellow and it now holds my glue dots!  LOVE this little piece.

Well, that concludes my craft room tour.  I hope you enjoyed and maybe found an idea or two to use for your own space!  If you have any great ideas for storage, please email me!  I would love to hear what you do in your space.

Have a great day friend!  Oh, be sure to pop back over here tomorrow, I have some "sweet" crafty news to share!
