Share Joy Challenge #30

Hello!

I am so glad that it is Thursday! Not only is the weekend well on its way, but the start of April's Share Joy Challenges are under way! Yeah! You know I am all about florals, so this weeks I couldn't resist using them on my card.

I started by using the sketch, but it morphed into the inspiration picture...so, I guess it's both? Whatever. I used the adorable Bloom Where You're Planted die set, and created a floral cluster in the coordinating colors onto a white card base, that I had masked and sponged with light blue ink.

I die cut the various flowers from Cupcake, Lollipop, Candy Corn, Potato Chip, Granny Smith, and Salt Water Taffy Card stocks. I sponged on a bit of ink in a coordinating color to the edges of each die cut, and adhered them with foam, and dry adhesives.

I stamped my sentiment, and added a few sequins, and seed beads. I realized I had stamped it in black when I feel it would have been better to do it in brown. Ever do that? Ah, well. It's still fun, and full of floral goodness!

I hope you'll join us! The graphic and rules are below! See you at the challenge blog!

Share Joy Challenge #29

Hello friends!

This week is flying by for me! How about you? I had such grand plans to blog more this week, and sadly, it didn't happen. Its either a feast, or a famine! Today, I am bringing you the latest Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge. I used the lovely color palette for my card, along with a simple daisy stamp, and die cut frame. Check it out.

I started with TE card stock in Blue Corn, Sprinkles, Potato Chip, and Peapod, cutting strips in varying thicknesses, and adhered them to a white card base. I stamped the small daisy outline image (from Oops A Daisy) in Versamark, and white heat embossed it onto the colored strips, making sure to keep my heat tool moving, so I didn't warp it.

I then die cut the large frame from the Frame In Frame die set using white card stock, and popped it up onto the card front. To finish it, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same stamp set, in black ink.

Here is a look at the sketch, and the color palette. I hope you find one or both inspiring, and give the challenge a try! I have included what you need to know about the challenge, so you can play along! I can't wait to see what you make. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #28

Hi everyone!

I totally goofed today, and forgot to bring you this weeks Share Joy Challenge! Well, here it is, and be sure to stop over at the Share Joy Challenge blog to see what my teammates did!

I used the lovely Simply Stamped: Roses set for my card today. I stamped and masked some of the images onto a white panel, along with the leaves, and blended in a bit of Scattered Straw in the corner.

I stamped my sentiment over top, and highlighted a few spots with a white gel pen to help it stand out. I then adhered the panel to a black card base.

Here is a look at the sketch! I guess you could say that I did both the sketch, and the clean and simple. Now it's your turn!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Click HERE or scroll down for my Memory Box post!

Hello sweet friends!

I hope you are having a great week, yeah for Friday! Today, I am joining the many others hopping for this years Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I heart coffee..don't we all?

I used some subdued colors for my card today, mint, and Kraft, with a bit of black for contrast. I started by stamping the adorable to go cup from Neat & Tangled's Perfect Blend stamp set onto a white panel, making sure to go off the side, and work in odd pairings. I then adhered a piece of mint striped patterned paper to a white card base, and placed the panel onto it with foam.

I then stamped the cup again onto Kraft card stock, trimmed it out, and adhered it to my center cup, highlighting the cup with a T1 Copic marker to give it some shading. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black card stock, trimmed it out, and popped it up onto the card. I finished it with a few droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you were inspired today! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great hop!

Share Joy Challenge #27

Hello friends!

I am stopping by today to share this week's Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge! I played with the sketch, one that has so many possibilities!

I used the Light As A Feather mini set, and die combo to create a gold, and pink card. I first took a piece of pink chevron patterned paper, and adhered it to a card base. I then took a white panel, die cut an oval from it, and spritzed some pink in onto it. I then wrapped some twine around the top, and adhered it to the card base. I chose one of the sentiments from the set, and stamped it in black ink onto the front.

I stamped my feathers in Versamark ink, and heat embossed them with gold powder, die cutting them, and adhering them in a cluster onto the card.

Share Joy Challenge #26

Hello, hello!

Today is a new Share Joy Challenge, and I bring you my card using the sketch. I thought the Easter egg basket was lovely, but was inspired by the sketch to break out these adorable fishies from the Oceans of Fun stamp set.

I started by die cutting my panel of card stock with the Medium Scallop die. I then used some Distress Inks to blend in a few blue hues to create my "waves." I also flicked on a bit of white paint for some interest. Once that was dry, I adhered the panel and the waves to a piece of copy paper, and ran a circle die through. I then reinserted it, and stamped my sentiment, popping up the whole panel onto fun foam, and a white card base.

I stamped the fish, and colored them in with Copic Markers, die cut them out, and adhered them around the circle!

I hope you take on the challenge! It is always fabulous to see your lovely cards in the gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

Share Joy Challenge #25

Hey there!

This weeks Share Joy Challenge has a really Spring-like color combination, that I thought I would try.

I chose the adorable Balloon Buddies set, and coordinating dies, to create a little scene. I started by masking a portion of a white card base, and inking it with a couple of shades of Blue Distress Inks. I then flicked on some white paint, and allowed it to dry.

I die cut a circle from a piece of light blue card stock, and tied a bit of twine around the top, popping the whole piece up on the card front. I adhered my stamped, colored, and die cut dog, as well as a cluster of balloons, and a little black thread bow.

I hope to see what you do with this weeks challenge! There are so many possibilities! Just in case you aren't familiar with the details, I have added them below. Have a great day!

Memory Box March Challenge

Hello, and Happy March!

I just wanted to stop by, and share my card for the March challenge on the Memory Box blog. For March, we are bringing out Flowers and/or Bunnies! I chose Florals, because, well, because! HAHA!

I chose the lovely Sketch Daisy die to use on my card. I started with a panel of watercolor paper, and created a spring colored wash of watercolors onto it. After it was dry, I die cut the flowers, along with card stock, and inlaid those colors back in, along with the white frame.

I adhered some green patterned paper to my card base, and attached the panel with foam, finishing it off with clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you have some time, stop over to play along with us, we would love to see what you create with Memory Box dies!
