Virginia's View Challenge #20

Hi there!

I thought I would stop in and share the card I created based on this months Virginia's View Challenge. I love adding texture to my cards! Do you?

I wanted to use the adorable Cool Day stamp set from My Favorite Things, and used the cute Polar Bear as my starting point.

I blended in a few different colors of Distress Inks to create a cool winter sky. I then took a dot stencil, and applied some Embossing Paste, and set it aside to dry. Next, I took the Rolling Hill die, and cut two pieces of white cardstock, adhering them to look like snowy hills. I added some Glitter Stickles for a little interest.

I then stamped and die cut the sign, and the bear, coloring them in with Copic Markers. I adhered the bear with foam tape, and the sign with dry adhesive.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you are able to get some crafty time in your days. Have a great one!

MFT Color Challenge #32

Hello, friends!

I hope you had a relaxing weekend! I know I sure did. I was lucky enough to be able to get away for a crafting retreat with some of my favorite people. We had a blast. Amazingly, I managed to create a bunch of projects, amidst the laughing, eating, and more laughing! Hee, hee! So, I am sneaking in  the latest MFT Color Challenge before it closes, as if they don't give you plenty of time..better late than never, right?!

These colors were somewhat challenging for me, but I tried to think outside the box with my colors, and came up with a floral winter card. Can that be a thing?

I started by die cutting the new Stitched Cover-Up Horizontal window die from My Favorite Things, and marking where I wanted to apply my ink onto the card base. I then masked off the sides, top, and bottom, so as not to get ink on it, and applied blue ink with a sponge dauber.

I also stamped my sentiment, from Let's Get Cozy, onto the top opening in blue ink, erased my pencil lines, and added flowers stamped and die cut from the lovely Fall Florals set. I also added a few details with a white gel pen. The flower cluster was inspired by a card by Kay Miller. She's amazing!

Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope you have a great start to your week. I will be back with another card soon!

Share Joy Challenge #10

Hellooooo!

I am running on late it appears! I totally forgot to let you know about the latest Share Joy Challenge! I don't know about you, but this week flew by on me, and here it is, another challenge! It's a great one this week, too, perfect for fall!

I decided to take the challenge literally, and stamp flowers, in orange!

I started by sponging onto my card base, a little bit of yellow ink. I then used the sweet Oops A Daisy stamp set, and coordinating dies, to create a cluster in the middle of my card.

After I stamped and die cut my flowers and leaves, I stamped my sentiment in a dark brown ink.

Super simple, and fun! Now, let's see what you can do! Pick either the sketch, or the inspiration picture, and link it up! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

AEIHeartU Challenge #30 - Holiday Tag

Hello!

Can you believe it's time for another Avery Elle Challenge?! I am super excited about this month, because we are all about Holiday Tags. Tags are such a fun way of creating something special for a gift box or bag. So, the team is joining in the fun with Tracey at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, representing Avery Elle's adorable stamps and dies!
Did you know she has been doing this fun blog for 5 years! Yeah, Tracey! I am so glad to celebrate with you!

For my tag, I broke out the adorable Snow Much Fun stamp set, and created a fun little scene!

To begin, I made my own tag with some cardstock, corner chomper, and hole punch. Using an ink blending tool, I added in Tumbled Glass, and Broken China distress Ink, fading it as I went. I die cut some snow hills with the Dotted Borders Elle-ments, and adhered those to the tag.

Stamping the adorable rabbit, and polar bear onto white cardstock, I colored them with Copic Markers, and carefully trimmed it out, adhering it to the tag front.

I stamped my sentiment in Onyx Black Versafine ink, and finished it off with a bit of red and white Baker's Twine, and white "snow" at the top of the tag, made with a white gel pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you will join us in making a fun holiday tag! Have a great day!
