Share Joy Challenge #14

Hey guys!

Thanks for stopping in today! I have a classy gold and white Holiday card for you today, using the newest sketch/inspirational pic from the Share Joy Challenge! I loved the Christmas tree in this picture! Oh, if only I could get my tree to look like that! Now, I know I used the fun Ornament Overlays for last weeks project, but seriously! I love them, and I had to use them again.

To start it, I die cut the largest ornament from the center of a white panel, trimmed to 4 x 5 1/4. I also die cut it from gold and silver card stock, and reinserted the pieces of the ornament. I then took a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress ink, and applied it to the edges of the circle opening. After I adhered a piece of typing paper to the back, I adhered the gold circle onto it.

I added my sentiment from the Simply Stamped - Daisy set, in Encore Silver ink, and then clear heat embossed it. For a final touch, I added the negative snowflake portion of the smallest ornament die cut to various places around my panel. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to give it some shimmer.

Here is the graphic!

Well, that's it for me! Thanks so much, again, for dropping by! Have a great day!

Share Joy Challenge #13

Hey there!

I have the latest Share Joy Challenge to bring you today, using a few fun Taylored Expressions dies. I really need to start sending these cards, now that Christmas is so close! Have you sent your cards out yet?

I took a white card base (I know, what else is new) and sponged on Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I then adhered a strip of black and white striped patterned paper, as well as a piece of red glitter paper, to the side of the card base.

Using the Ornament Overlays die set, I cut three different sizes from colored card stock, and layered them onto my card base. I added a glittered bow to two of them, and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the larger ornament.

So, give it a go? I would love to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Virginia's View Challenge #21

Hello, hello!

I am back today with a card for Virginia's View Challenge. I am sure you have seen the news, that she is taking a break from the challenge for awhile. I have been a fan since who knows when, and I will miss it! Good challenges are hard to find, ya'll! So, glitter. Yeah, glitter and I, we haven't really been friends. With that said, I decided to save myself, and my craft room floor, and use glitter paper from DCWV instead.

To start, I sponged on a bit of Hickory Smoke Distress Ink in the center of the card. A good tip, blot off as much ink as possible before bringing it to the paper. You are less likely to get blobs. Next, I die cut the beautiful rose from Winnie & Walter's In Bloom: Maggie's Roses, from black card stock, and adhered those to the card base.

I used the In a Word: Hello Cutaway to die cut three black pieces, and glued them together. I then die cut one from gold glitter paper, and layered that on top. I adhered that piece over top of my flower, and added a leaf die cut and stamped the word "gorgeous," from The Big, the Bold, and You, in black ink.

The supplies are listed below. Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you have an awesome day!

AEIHeartU Challenge #31

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am bringing you the latest Avery Elle Challenge, Metallics! It's been around for ages, but Gold and Silver are always in! I used a bit of both on my cards today, yes, cards! I couldn't stop at one..

I decided I had to make a shaker to emphasize all of that glitz, so a shaker it was. I die cut an oval using the Sweet Scallops Elle-ments die set, from the upper middle of my white panel. I then added a generous amount of foam tape, sprinkled in lots of gold and silver sequins, as well as micro beads, and placed another piece of acetate over it to contain them. I adhered the panel to a white note card, which I had previously stamped my sentiment on.

I added three various size strips of gold card stock, and then adhered a floral spray of stamped die cuts over top of it.

I told you I couldn't stop! I took a white panel, stamped my flowers, and greens, and trimmed the bottom portion, carefully cutting around a flower, and a few leaves. I then popped it up onto a card base that I had stamped a striped pattern onto, as well as a strip of gold card stock.

I finished it by stamping the circle cluster stamp around my florals, using Delicata ink!

Thanks so much for joining me today, I sure do hope to see you play along!
