Share Joy Challenge #6

Hello!

It has been another busy week on the blog! I am here to share the newest Share Joy Challenge for this week!

With Halloween right around the corner, you may chose to make something inspired by this adorable candy jar, or you can use the sketch, or even both! I chose the sketch, and paired them with a few lovely stamp sets!

I started with a trimmed down panel, and cut a circle out of the center with a die. I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I love the texture! I lightly traced the circle onto my card base, and blended in light and dark purples. Moving on to my flower, I stamped the lovely sunflower from the Simply Stamped - Sunflower set, and then die cut it out with the coordinating dies.

I set the bloom aside, and created a sentiment strip on vellum, using the Free Spirit set, and white embossing powder. I then adhered all of my elements down, and added a few frosted gems.

Thank you for stopping by today! For some reason InLinkz doesn't want to work with TE stamps and dies, so I have linked to them in my post if you need it.

I hope you play along! I look forward to seeing what you make!

RIC #93

Hiya friends!

Today, I am bringing you the latest Runway Inspired Challenge! Check out the fun colors, and design of her dress, so cool!

I decided on using the wave pattern of her skirt, as well as some of the colors, and chose the fun Soda Pop set, and matching dies, from MFT, for my card!

I started by die cutting the pop bottles, and blending in colors that were in her skirt. I then took a paint brush with watered down ink, and flicked it onto the bottles. As those dried, I heat embossed the happy birthday onto vellum, and adhered those to the bottles. I also used a bit of silver cardstock to add the bottle caps.

After estimating where the waves would go, I applied a bit of blue ink, and blended it upwards. I then adhered my white die cuts to the bard base, and adhered my bottles. I stamped my sentiment in black ink, and added dots to show it continued on the inside.

So, there is my card for this challenge! Sadly, it will be my last, as I am stepping down from the team. I have had an amazing time working with Jen, and the wonderful ladies. It was such an amazing honor, and I will treasure it! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jen!

Please be sure to stop on over and visit the other team members, to see their gorgeous creations!

AEIHeartU Challenge #29

Hello, hello!

It is a busy day on my blog today, and I am so glad you stopped by! I have this months AEIHeartU challenge, and we are tickled pink! Well, we are thinking in pink, anyway.

I am in love with the new Sweet Scallops Elle-ments die set. It is so versatile, and fun, so I used a lot of them on my card today.

I started by die cutting the scalloped frame from the string of hearts paper, in the Everyday Collection paper pad. I then die cut the oval from its center, and adhered it to a card base with foam adhesive. Taking the smaller oval die, and cutting it from white card stock, I applied a gradient of pink Distress Inks, and then only used the thin scallop oval, placing it in the center.

I stamped, colored in pink, and cut out, the cutie little monster from the Monsters stamp set and adhered it to the front. I applied a little glossy accents to the eyes for some shine.

Thank you for joining me today! I hope you decide to play along, we can't wait to see what you make!

Share Joy Challenge #5

Hello!

It is October first, ya'll. How did this happen? I am constantly in denial that the months are flying by! I present to you the latest Share Joy Challenge. I decided to use the colors, and create an autumnal card using the adorable Peek-a-boo Pumpkins, and coordinating dies.

To begin, I took a piece of watercolor paper, and did a bit of ink smooshing, using Rusty Hinge, and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. I trimmed the panel down, and adhered it to a card base. I did a bit of direct-to-paper inking on the side of it, and adhered the panel.

I die cut, and stamped the pumpkins, and adhered them to my panel, stamping my sentiment in the same warm gray color. I finished it off with some sequins.

I hope you can find time to play along! It is a fun one!
