My Favorite Things Sketch #247

Hey there!

I am so glad you stopped by! My time with the fun ladies over at the MFT challenge blog is ebbing, and I so enjoy being there! This weeks sketch is awesome! I just love it.

I immediately thought of a shaker card, and decided, why not? Oh, and notice the trend of happy springy colors, because I am protesting the end of summer. I hear today is officially the first day of Autumn. I can't. I just can't.

I started by die cutting the fabulous Stitched Cover Up Companion die, out of white card stock. I then took the leftover top rectangle, and inked it up with some pretty pink ink, as well as stamped a sentiment from the Thanks So Very Much stamp set.

I adhered that panel to my mint card base, and began stamping out my flowers, from the Fall Florals stamp set, using a variety of dye ink colors. I added a generous amount of foam tape to the window panel, along with some pastel sequins, before adhering the panel to the card base. I then layered my flowers across the front.

Thanks for visiting today! I hope you get a chance to play along! See you soon!

Fun News, and A Card!

Hello, hello!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I have some fun news to share with you..I am the newest designer for Memory Box! WHA!? I know, pinch me now. I love their dies, and am so excited to be able to share projects using them, on their blog! I will, of course, share them here too. So, would you like to see what I did?

I started with a white card panel, and die cut the fun Distressed Addington Collage out of both corners. I then inked up a white card base, using Distress Inks, in Crushed Olive, and Mowed Lawn. Once that was done, I adhered it to the card base, and flicked on some watered down black ink.

I then die cut the adorable Stitched Pumpkins, and added a bit of orange distress Ink to the sides. I adhered those with foam, and regular adhesive.

Thank you so much for stopping in, and sharing my great news! I will be back soon with more cards to share!

Winnie & Walter Guest Post Take 3

Hello, and happy Saturday!

Today I have another post up at the Winnie & Walter Blog! This week I chose to focus on ink blending. Seriously, what is not to love?!

Below are the two cards I created, and if you want more details on how I did them, hop over to the W&W Blog for the nitty gritty!

For this card I used the Essentials: Audrey's Cutaways and In Bloom: Maggie's Roses.

And for the sentiment I used The Big, the Bold and Comfort.

For this rainbow card, I brought out the True stamp set.

As well as In a Word: Hello Cutaway!

Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you were inspired to try a bit of ink blending on your next project! Have a great day!

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #3

Hey friends!

Today is a new Share Joy Challenge, and it is super fun! I always enjoy a Tic Tac Toe style inspiration board. You can go anyway. Let's see what the choices are for this one..

We all know I love Sequins, twine, and embossing of any kind, so naturally, I aimed for the center row, lol! Here is what I did with TE products.

I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock, and dry embossed the Woodgrain Folder with it. I trimmed it down to a strip, and adhered it to the side of my card base. I took the Simply Stamped - Zinnias, and using my Stamp positioner, added dimension with multiple ink colors. I then die cut them out, and adhered them to the card base.

I added a twine bow, as well as a smattering of sequins to finish my card, and as a last touch, rounded the bottom left corner.

So, that is all for me today! I hope you play along with us! Have a great day.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #246

Hello!

I am back today with the newest MFT Sketch challenge! This sketch had me going crazy for those beautiful new flowers just released this month. Here is the sketch!

Instead of channeling the geometric design literally, I decided to use those blooms instead!

To begin, I stamped the Distressed Stripes stamp onto a white panel in a light brown ink, and die cut a large circle from its center. I then began die cutting and stamping the flowers and leaves from the Fall Florals set. With those finished I lightly traced the circle onto a card base, and fit all of my die cut images within it.

To finished it off, I added a big bold sentiment from the Thanks So Very Much set, using black cardstock, and White embossing powder. I added a few sequins for good measure.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you decide to play along this week!
