Miss You Floral Card

Hello!

It is so Monday, but I am hoping to make it brighter with this floral card, using the MFT Sketch Challenge as a jumping off point.

I used the fabulous Watercolor Flowers, and Written In Watercolor stamp sets from My Favorite Things!

I started by heat embossing my sentiment onto a piece of Woodgrain Paper, popping it up onto a Kraft card base, using fun foam. I then adhered a strip of glitter paper and vellum to the panel, as the sketch suggests.

The flowers were stamped in a mixture of dye inks from Hero Arts, and Wplus9. After I stamped and trimmed them out, I adhered them with adhesive, and foam tape onto the card front.

I even included a video of how I made it. Be sure to check it out! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You - A Father's Day Card

Hello!

I had some time to make a card for my dad for Father's Day coming up. These things always sneak up on me, so I thought I would get ahead, ha! I know I just played along with Virginia's Challenge, to create and Ombre or Monochromatic card, but I wanted to play along again.

I focused on the ombre night sky, using three blue Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire. I made sure to mask off the sides, so that the edges were crisp. Using Mama Elephant's Bear Hugs stamp set, I white heat embossed a tiny star from the set onto the card front.

I then stamped the set of bears, coloring them in with Copic Markers, and trimming it out, before adhering it, along with the grass die cut, and moon, to the card front. My sentiment was heat embossed onto the card using White embossing powder from Hero Arts.

You can check out how I created it in the video above! Thanks so much for stopping by!

You Make Me Smile

Click HERE or scroll down for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello once again!

I have a card to share with you today, inspired by the latest Virginia's View Challenge, to use ombre or monochromatic, as well as Paulina's Watercolor Blog Hop over at Pretty Pink Posh. Both challenges are inspiring, and go well together! I love this type of media, it lends so much artistic freedom.

I used Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, and the Highline Ironwork background stamp from Hero Arts and Basic Gray to emboss a resist onto the panel. I added Picked Raspberries, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salty Ocean Distress Inks to create a blended rainbow of color.

I adhered the panel to a white card base, and added the Simon Says Stamp Smile Circle die cut that I layered and adhered to a black cardstock circle. I also adhered a strip of vellum heat embossed with my greeting from the Happy and Smile stamp set, over a wad of black thread. I finished it with some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

I even created a little video showing how I made the panel. I previously shared a picture of my new video set up on instagram, and FB, and hope to make more videos soon. You can check out the stand I use, here!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend.

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello!

I am so glad you stopped by today. I am linking up to the fabulous Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, Summer edition! I have sadly given up coffee, but I am an extreme tea drinker now. I must have a hot beverage to start my day. And, though I miss my coffee dearly, tea is the next best.

I used the adorable Tea Time stamp set from Avery Elle. I started with a piece of patterned paper from the Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad from Pink Paislee, heat embossing the cup in a random pattern and then heat embossing it with white powder. I adhered that to a Kraft card base.

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, and colored it in with an R85 Copic Marker, and adhered it to the card base. I then stamped, colored and cut out one of the cups, popped it up and added a little tea bag. As a last touch, I applied Glossy Accents to the cup, giving it a lovely shine!

Thanks so much for stopping! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

With You - MFT Card Sketch Challenge #231

Hello again!

This week has been a great card making week. I have such a hard time actually making the time to sit down and create, but when I do, I am so happy. MFT's card challenge also make me happy, and I used the latest sketch for my card today.

Stop the boat! I can't get enough of Torico, aka, Birdie Brown's A-dorable stamps. This one, called Every Day Is A Picnic is just that. So, I colored her up with Copic Markers, and after showing everyone in my house, set her aside to work on the card.

I began my taking a few small stamps from the Modern Blooms set, and stamped those onto a Kraft panel. I then adhered the panel to a Kraft card, and added a stitched square, center cut out, popped up with foam. I added my girl, along with some of the flowers, and her picnic basket.

I stamped the sentiment onto a white cardstock strip, and adhered it behind her. Isn't she CUTE?! I love it.

Okay, that is all for me, thanks sooo much for stopping by!

You Are So Sweet - MFT Color Challenge #22

Hello crafty friends!

I had some time last night, thanks to my fabulous husband for taking the kiddos, and played along with the MFT color challenge.

I first have to apologize for the crazy shadows on this card! I was desperate to share it this morning, and tried my best to get a good photo. Morning light is just not the best!

I started with a white panel, partially die cutting a circle window out of the center. I then masked off the sides of a white card base, and applied a bit of Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

I stamped the boot from the You Gnome Me stamp set, colored it in with Copic Markers, and trimmed it out. I then tucked it into my window. I added a tiny sentiment from the Donuts and Sprinkles stamp set, and tucked it next to the boot. I finished it by adding rhinestones to the centers of the flowers, and a thin black cardstock strip at the base of the card.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you were inspired.

RIC #85

Hey, hey!

I have the latest Runway Inspired Challenge today, and it's full of inspiration! Let's see what I did, shall we?

There are quite a few avenues to take with this, but I used the colors. Oh, and some bling, because you can never have too much sparkle! Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is the awesome, Winnie & Walter! I love there stamps, including this fantastic set, called In Bloom: Addie's Garden, which I used today.

To start, I took a white panel, and did a bit of masking, creating a large cluster of flowers, and leaves. It was slightly tedious, but hey, it beats housework hands down!

I then took the Scenery: Big Bang Confetti set, and white heat embossed the solid circle images. I brought in a bit of Milled Lavender Distress Ink, and then began coloring my flowers.

I used quite a few Distress Ink colors, including Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistacio, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Mermaid Lagoon. After I colored the images, and allowed it to dry, I ran it through my die cut machine with a rectangle die. I also die cut a rectangle from a black card base, and inlaid the panel.

I grabbed The Big, the Bold, and the Happy, and heat embossed the large happy onto vellum using Onyx Black Versafine, and clear powder. I added anniversary below, and finished it with clear rhinestones.

There is a generous prize being offered by Winnie & Walter to the winner of this challenge, so what do you say? Give it a go! We can't wait to see what you make.

AEIHeartU #25 Rainbows

Hello, hello!

I am back today with the latest Avery Elle Challenge! The months just fly by it seems, because I swear I just posted a challenge. This month it is all about rainbows, and who doesn't love a rainbow?

I did some ink blending with a rainbow of colors onto a white card panel. I ran it through my die cut machine using the Dotted Borders curved die to split the panel in two, popping them up onto the card front, and leaving a space.

I stamped my sentiment from the Tea Time stamp set along the bottom of one of the panels, and added two cups, which were colored with Copic Markers.

I hope you play along! I can't wait to see what you make! As always, there is a generous prize offered up.

From The Whole Herd

Howdy!

Oh, do I ever love The Whole Herd stamp set from MFT! I had to use it on my card today, based on the sketch for this week. I was inspired by Miriam, and Veronica's takes mostly, creating a scene for my cute animals.

To start, I blended in a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to make a sky. I then took the Rolling Hills die set, and die cut it from light green cardstock, adhering it to my card base. I added a few clouds, and did some fun dimensional stamping for my sentiment.

I then began coloring my animals with Copic Markers. I cut them out, and adhered them in a way that matches the triangles on the sketch.

A side note, the chicken is colored like my Deleware, Marshmallow. She is mostly white, with black and gray neck, and tail feathers. :0) I don't have a pic of her, but here is an image of what they look like.

That's it, thanks sooo much for visiting with me!

Grateful For You

Hello!

I am back today with my take on the latest Runway Inspired challenge

I went super bold with my card, drawing inspiration from the colors, as well as the geometric pattern on her shirt and shoes.

I started with a white panel, and stamped the triangle border from the Trifecta stamp set by Mama Elephant at the top and bottom. I colored them in with Copic markers, and  stamped a large greeting in the center. The greeting is from an older My Favorite Things stamp set.

I popped the panel up onto a black card base, and added some black round gems to accent my sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed, and decide to play along with us! There is a $25 store voucher up for grabs from Ellen Hutson, yeah! Have a great day!

Tickled Pink

Hello!

I thought I would sneak in today, to play along with the latest MFT Sketch challenge. I have been laying low these last couple days with a horrible sore throat and cold. Blech, I hate being sick. After I started to feel a bit better, I thought I would make a happy, colorful card. :0)

Using the sketch, I added cardstock strips to the side, and die cut a circle from gray cardstock. I popped it up, and added the fun flamingo from the Flamingos die set. I added a little black gem to his eye, and enhanced his feathers with a pink Copic Marker.

I stamped the big bloom from Modern Blooms in a golden yellow, and added a gray center. I stamped my sentiment in a bold pink, and to finish it off, I added a bit of glitter to the circle frame and rounded the top corner.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great rest of your weekend.

I Love Mew

Hello!

I have a card to share today, using the I Knead You stamp set from My Favorite Things. I can't get enough of their stamps.

I started with a piece of tan cardstock, and die cut a nested square out of the center. I then die cut a pink piece and popped it up within the square, and reinserted the center.

I stamped the shelf image, and then masked it off, stamping the cat to look like it was hanging there. I colored it with Copic Markers, and cut it out, popping it up within the square.

To finish it, I stamped my sentiment using Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and added a speech bubble. I also stamped the fish bone image repeatedly in a light gray ink for some interest.

Thanks so much for stopping in! I hope you have a great day!
