Golden Hello

Hello!

My family and I just returned from a fun weekend camping trip, and I sure missed crafting!  I was anxious to play along with the latest AEIHeartU challenge to use gold.  How could I possibly resist that?

To start my card, I reached for a white cardstock panel, and stamped the lovely woodgrain pattern from the Woodgrain & More set, in Gold Delicata ink.  I then die cut the flowers from the Laurels set, and stamped them with the coordinating stamp set, also in gold ink.

I stamped the hello in black ink, and fussy cut it, adhered it, as well as the flowers, and stamped the little star image randomly onto the panel.  I then adhered it to a white card panel, and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the letters and the black stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

P.S.

Don't forget that i {heart} papers is still having a huge sale!  There is still a bunch of awesome products still available!

Take Two Thursday: Hello, Hello Studio Calico Card Kit

Hello, hello indeed!

Katie and I are back again today with another Take Two Thursday, where we pick one stamp set (or in this case, kit) and create something using it!  This week, we chose the June Studio Calico card kit, Hello, Hello.  Let's see what happened shall we?

For this first card, I did a bit of floral stamping on a white panel, adding gold ink to the centers. I then popped it up onto a card base, that I had adhered the lovely woodgrain paper to.  I added a bit of ombre thread, which is in the kit and called it good.

I took the small triangle border stamp in the set, and stamped it in a rainbow of colors onto a white panel.  I then stamped the Hello, and heat embossed it with black glitter powder from Ranger.  After I adhered it to a black card base, I added some black pearls, realizing oops, those aren't from the kit...oh, well!  I love this one!

That's all I have today, please be sure you hop on over to see what Katie did with it.  I know she has something clever up her sleeve.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello!

Masculine cards don't happen for me much, sad but true.  However, I needed one for my dad, and using goodies that you can find at the i {heart} papers store, created this card.

The ever talented Julie Ebersole showed this neat technique in an online card class a while back, where you emboss on your project using a stencil, and then using the same stencil, add your medium.  So, for this, I ran the Tim Holtz Bubble stencil through my Big Shot using Tab 1, then a plate.  Next up, is the stencil, which is underneath the paper, to which you then add two rubber mats and then your top plate.  The key to it is the two mats.

I then cleaned my stencil really well, and placed it right over the embossed areas, inking it up with Distress Inks and a foam applicator.

Using the You're So Kind stamp set from Hero Arts, I black heat embossed my greeting onto a piece of vellum, trimmed it down, and adhered it to the panel.  I added a few sequins for good measure.

I just took a peek over at the store, and if you are interested in scoring 30% off everything, you had better hurry, cause it's going fast!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

You're the Best

The other day I made two cards for the Avery Elle challenge, to create your own patterned paper.  I shared the other one last week, and totally forgot to link up this card!  So, here it is, right under the wire too.

I used the Laurels stamp set for my flowers, stamping them in a variety of Hero Arts Shadow inks, onto a cream panel.

I took the Handwritten Notes set, and stamped it straight onto the card base in Charcoal ink from HA.  I then added yellow enamel dots to finish it off.

Just Saying Hello & A Sale!

Hello, hello!

I have another card share today, using the Painted Flowers set from Altenew.  I just looove it.  I also used a greeting from Super Script.

I stamped the flower in a combination, Soft Sky, and Cornflower Shadow inks from Hero Arts, as well as Lime Green and Green Hills.  I then cut them all out.

I sewed a bit of patterned paper onto the card front, stamped the sentiment and adhered the flowers.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  Oh, and just a reminder, in case you are in a shopping mood, i {heart} papers is having a giant sale, on everything!  30%, whoa!  Now is the time to stock up!!  Head on over and see what there is available before its gone.

Stamp Out Chaos- Ribbon/Fibers/Washi

Hi there!

Welcome back to another Stamp Out Chaos post.  My friend Katie and I are nearing the end of our series, amazing how time goes so fast, and today we are looking at where and how we store Ribbon/Fibers/Washi Tape.  I have a confession.  The ribbon is gone.  Yes, gone.  I never use it, and refuse to store it, so it had to go.

I have a pretty limited Tape collection, mostly because I don't use it much and would rather buy other crafty things.  I store it on a dowel that hangs into a Making Memories shelf, that I actually got from Katie.  I think it's super handy, and gets things up and out of the way.

I do have twine, lots of it, and store it on a Ribbon Carousel that I had gotten during my time as a DT member for The Ribbon Carousel.  It is space saving and cute too!

Lastly, I keep a large spool of May Arts Twine, as well as a little spool of Divine Twine near my craft table for easy reach.  Now, I will admit that I have a small tackle box full of ribbon pieces down in one of my cubes, by I never reach for it, and should probably get rid of it.

So, there you have my very limited storage for fibers and Washi Tape.  I have a bold card to share using that lovely gold twine above.

I started with a white panel, and stamped a cluster of flowers from the Hennah Elements set from Altenew, in the right bottom corner.  I colored them in with Copic markers, and added Gold Wink of Stella shimmer to the centers.

I then trimmed the panel down, wrapped twine around it, and adhered it to a black card base.

Thank so much for stopping by!  I will catch you later!

RIC #62

Hello crafty friends!

Today is a new Runway Inspired Challenge, yay!  This weeks inspiration is so pretty, birds, blue and white and so many possibilities.

I used a bit of blue ink and swirled it onto a white panel, heat embossed a little greeting from Paper Smooches Denim & Daisies set.  I then took the Duo 1 die, and cut it from white cardstock, popped it up over the sentiment and added a couple die cut feather.

I then took a blue die cut bird from an older Wplus9 set and placed it above the feathers, adding a bit of Wink of Stella to it.

I hope you play along with us this week, we can't wait to see what you do with it!

Also, i {heart} papers is having a ha-uge sale, as they are moving and need to get things gone!  Stop on over there and check it out!!

Thanks for stopping by!

DIY Patterned Paper- Thank You

Hello!

I have a fun card to share with you that fits the latest AEIHeartU Challenge, which is to create your own patterned paper.  I love that the i {heart} papers store carries Avery Elle stamps and dies!  Woot!

I grabbed the Modern Leaves set, and starting with the lined leaf image, turned it over and placed it on my block before I stamped it in Mint Julep ink (Hero Arts).  I then turned it over and stamped again in the same ink to get the original image.  I did the same thing with the other leaf, flipping it over to the solid side, and inking it up with Wplus9's Ocean Drive dye ink.  I then filled in the open spaces with the circle image using two different pinks.

I then stamped my sentiment in black ink, sliced my panel and popped it up onto a card base, after adding a strip of gold glitter paper to the base.  I adhered a few gold enamel dots, and rounded the corners with the WRMK corner chomper.

Thanks so much for stopping in, have a great one!

You Are Appreciated

Hey friends!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you are having a relaxing weekend filled with lots of crafting!  I made a little card using more of my fav Altenew stamps, this time Sohcahtoa.  I can't get enough of these, seriously!  Tasnim and Jen, if your reading this, you. rock.  :0)

I stamped my three different sized triangles in an assortment of inks, such as, Wplus9's Miami Spice, and a combo of Hero Arts Shadow inks, Bubblegum, Pool, and Soft Sky.

I then took a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to the side, stamped my sentiment in Onyx Black from Tsukineko and added a few Doodlebug enamel dots.  Clean and graphic, just the way I like it!

That's all I have, thanks sooo much for popping in, see you tomorrow for another card!

Take Two Thursday- A Better Place

ETA: Friends, this is what happens when your toddler wakes you multiple times in a night, every night, your brain becomes a mush pile...I have successfully used the wrong set, where Katie used the Brushed set from Avery Elle, I used Write it.  DOH!  Enjoy anyway!  :)

Is that Friday I see around the corner, why yes it is!  So happy about that, but if it has to be Thursday, I will be make do with a super fun Take Two Thursday collab with my crafty gal pal, Katie!

This week, we chose to work with the fun Write It stamp set from Avery Elle.

I just love these big scripty sentiments and I paired it with the awesome Sohcahtoa set from Altenew.  I used a fun and bright color combo for stamping my triangles.  I then over stamped the sentiment and adhered it to a lime green card base, adding strips of black to set it off.

I finished it off with a few enamel dots.  Now, wander on over to see what Katie made with this, I know it will be amazing!  Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Celebrate

Hello, hello!

Oh Painted Flowers, how I love you.  Friend, I know it's sold out, but whoa!  When it is back in stock run and get it!  Now, I have a few crafty friends who, ahem, hate multi step stamping, but hear me out guys!  This set is so awesome!

John (my patient husband) took the kiddos shopping last night, while I got to play with these.  I decided if this set was going to be used, then I needed to practice.  So, I stamped out each flower and practiced lining them up according to Tasnim's how-to sheet.  Once I felt comfortable with them, I made a couple of cards.

For this first one, I started with a white panel, and stamped the Celebrate from Super Script, in gold Delicata ink.  I then stamped my flowers in Mint Julep and Tide Pool inks from Hero Arts, cutting out a couple and popping them up for a bit of interest.

I added woodgrain paper strips to the top and bottom of the panel and adhered a few gems to finish it!

For this next card, I die cut a circle out of my panel from cream cardstock, and lightly traced a circle onto my card base.  I then stamped clusters of flower in Hero Arts, Pale Tomato/Red Royal, as well as Soft Vanilla/Butterbar and again, Mint Julep and Tide Pool.  For a softer look, I stamped the outline in Charcoal ink.

I then took the Envelop Pattern background stamp from Hero Arts, and stamped it in Soft Granite, popped it up onto the card base, and added a sentiment from Label Love.  Of course, a few pearls finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you were inspired!
