MFT Sketch #256

Hello friends!

I have a fun Christmas card to share today, based off of this weeks MFT Card Challenge sketch. I had to ink up the adorable moose, and his cluster of pillows from the Merry Christmoose set, and tried to mimic the sketch with the five feathers. Can you see it? Maybe a little? HAHA!

I started by creating masks of the moose, and the cluster of pillows. I then stamped my moose first, and covered him with the mask. I took a bit of Evergreen Bough, and applied a very light halo around him. I then stamped the pillows image over top of him. I masked those pillows, and stamped pillows on either side.

I colored the whole thing with Copic Markers, and then added a sentiment from the Santa's Elves stamp set.

Here is the sketch. I know, I took quite a few liberties with it. :0)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Helloooo!

It's been awhile, huh? I am so sorry about that! I wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Sadly, I didn't have a card appropriate for the occasion, however, I found this card I created awhile back, that uses the adorable mouse from the My Favorite Things stamp set, Harvest Mouse. It's fall, and that counts, right? ;0)

I used watercolor paper for my panel, and sponged on Ground Espresso Distress Ink, splattering it with ink, water, and white paint. I stamped the leaves on the bottom, and colored them in with Copics.

Here is a close-up of the splatters, and ink blending!

I stamped the mouse, along with a couple of the pumpkins, colored them with Copic Markers, and trimmed them out, and adhered them to the panel with foam tape. I then adhered a piece of patterned paper to a white card base, and added the panel with foam.

MFT Sketch Challenge #255

Hey there, and happy Friday!

So many things going on these last few weeks, I am trying desperately to keep above the waves! The one thing I can't give up when things are hectic, is card making. It is such a stress reliever! So, when I sat down at my craft desk to just play, I used the newest MFT Card sketch. I love the angled element, and overall design!

I started with the Bold Diagonal Stripes background, and stamped it in a light brown ink. I then took a panel of white card stock, and sponged around the edges with Cracked Pistachio distress ink. Using one of the sentiments in the Hug In a Mug set, I heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum Embossing powder from Ranger.  

For the mugs, I die cut all of my pieces, and watercolored them using various Distress Inks. I then adhered all of my elements to the card with a combination of dry and wet adhesive, as well as foam tape.

Share Joy Challenge #12

Hello, hello!

I am so glad you stopped by today! I have the latest Share Joy Challenge, for Taylored Expressions. The sketch is awesome, but like a true Clean and Simple gal, I decided to go with that. 

I had to use the adorable little snowman die set. Goodness, it is so cute!

To start, I took Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink, and blended it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. Why watercolor paper? It blends on like a dream. Seriously, give it a try! I then took water, and flicked it onto the panel, along with some ink. I allowed it to dry, and then stamped my sentiment from the Sing of the King set.

I then began die cutting and adhering the pieces of my snowmen together, using the Little Bits - Snowman die set. It took awhile, but hey, it is so much better than doing the dishes! After they were put together, I adhered them to the panel with foam tape. Lastly, I adhered the panel to my white card base with a piece of fun foam.

Happy Holidays - MFT Card Challenge #254

Hey there!

How is your weekend going? I am knee deep on selling my home, with open houses, showings, and endless cleaning!! Oh my! With all the crazy, I did get to spend some time at my craft table, and boy did I need it. So, I chose to play along with the latest MFT card challenge. It's a great sketch!

I turned the sketch upside down, and did a little ink blending, and die cutting!

I started with a white card base, and masked off portions of the bottom of the card, blending in some fun Christmas colors. I used Distress Inks, and a blending tool to get the fad on the top portion of each color.

I then took the fabulous Lucky Star dies, and stacked them up to create a thicker die cut. I added a star cut from glitter cardstock, and adhered it on top of each star. I added a frame, popped up with foam adhesive, and then stamped a sentiment from Hand Lettered Holiday in Onyx Black ink.
