Hiya friends!
Awhile ago I received a lovely invite from Nicole, owner of
Sweet Stamp Shop, to join her team for the next three months. I, of course, said yes...because, 1. Nicole is the SWEETEST person you will ever meet, 2. The stamps are soooo stinkin' cute, and 3. Did I mention Nicole is the sweetest, and the stamps are so cute? Yup, that about sums it up!
So, today, I am bringing you the December release and boy, there are some really fun sets this month. SSS also has a new illustrator,
Alyssa Bennet, her stamps are ADORABLE, trust me on that! Gah! Shall we begin?
The first set I used is one of my favs, called Elegant Flowers. This small, sweet set is so puuurty! After seeing
Cristina use this embossing technique, I thought I would give it a try with this set. Perfect for a solid and matching outline image.
After I stamped the solid flower, I let it dry really well, and went back with Versamark and the outline image, heat embossing it in white. Seriously, make sure the ink is completely dry when you add the powder...trust me on this one! I then punched a circle opening, and added a sentiment from a past SSS set, I believe is retired, sorry bout that! I then finished it off with white gel pen around the panel.
I couldn't resist sharing this simple little card, using the Elegant Flowers set...the days are so dreary now, and I need some bright and happy!
I stamped them in HA's Pale Tomato, Butterbar and one of the purple hues, I just can't remember what it's called.
I am in love with the solid and outline stamps...Super simple, and easy!
Next, is a companion set of sorts, called Elegant Sentiments. I used this for a masculine card! I layered on patterned paper and embellishments from Studio Calico, BG and October Afternoon. I also added some twine from May Arts.
I stamped the Happy along with the Birthday sentiment together, in Cup O' Joe ink!
Next up, is a cutie set from Alyssa, called Cookie Sprinkles. Sooo so cute! I used the heart cookie as an embellishment to my card, stamping it on Vellum and heat embossing it in black. I also stamped the thanks sentiment and heat set that as well.
I adhered a few black cardstock strips and adhered some pearls to match. As a last addition, I rounded the bottom corners.
