Thank You Bunches

Hello!

I have a card to share with you, using the fun challenge at the Paper Smooches Sparks blog.  I have never played, can you believe it?!  Sheesh!  Well, the very talented Alice Wertz, who is on the DT posted the most lovely card using the inspirational photo, and well, I had to play along!

I loved the bold, yet muted colors, of the pic, and chose my ink colors accordingly.  I stamped onto a Kraft panel, using leaves from the Leafy Greens set, in Butterbar, Tide Pool, Rust, and Cup O' Joe overtop of white pigment ink.  Before I stamped the leaves, however, I rolled the edges in a darker colors to give them that fall leaf look.

I stamped my sentiment using a combination of sentiments from the Many Thanks set, in Cup O' Joe ink.  After I finished stamping on my panel, I adhered it to a cream card base, that I ran through my Big Shot with the Swiss Dot embossing folder.  It reminded me of those water droplets!

On Your Special Day

Hello!

It has been a super busy Friday for me, but I finally managed to sit down and work on this post!  Today, I bring you my take on this lovely inspirational photo from Cath, over at the Moxie Fab World.

Isn't it fab?  I love fall Maple leaves in these colors.  I started my card, by taking a Kraft panel, and stamping it with the Woodgrain cling stamp from Hero Arts and BasicGray in Versamark ink (It appears to be gone from the IHP store, or I would link it).  I then took clear embossing powder and heat set it.  I then took the leaves and die cut them out from the panel.

After that, I adhered a strip of Scor-Tape on a Kraft card base, and sprinkled it in yellow, orange, and red WOW American Crafts glitter.  I was hoping for better color blending, but it's still purty!

To finish it, I die cut and stamped the Paper Smooches Banner, from Streamers, in gold, along with a sweet sentiment from Wplus9's Fresh Cut Florals.

I hope you've enjoyed!  Have a marvelous Friday!

I Love You

Hey, hey!

I had a bit of crafty time the other night, and was inspired by Paulina's 10 minute Craft Dash.  I am going to confess right off the bat, I did NOT make it in 10 minutes.  Not even close, lol!  I don't even know what time I made because I stopped it around 13 minutes, yeah, it was bad.  HAHA!  I did have fun making this though...

So, here is how it went down...

1. Cut strips of cardstock, cardbase, and score
2. Prepare to start the card, realize the phone is downstairs, go get said phone
3. Start timer, glue strips to black panel, start to adhere it to the card base, and realize there is no heart die cut out yet...
4. Die cut window remedied, black panel secured
5. White gel pen in hand, faux stitching ensues
6. First attempt at sentiment flag = total fail, redo, trim and adhere, notice I have 00 seconds left, WHA?
7. Curious as to how long it would have taken to finish this deal, and reset the timer...
8. Throw sequins on, round corners, and laugh!  It took an extra 3+ minutes, ah well.

You win some, lose some, right?  Thanks for a fab challenge Paulina, they are always FUN!!  I used lots of fun stuff from the i {heart} papers store, including the sequins, stamps, and dies.  Also, Friday is the last day for the 5th Birthday Sales extravaganza sale!  Be sure to stop over and see what Kate has!

Take care my friends,

CAS(E) this Sketch #50

Happy Sunday friends!

I have a sweet card to share today using the latest CAS(E) this Sketch.  I finally, FINALLY, had a chance to play with my new Wplus9 stamps, having spent the day with my crafty pal, Katie, and no kiddos around.  I chose to ink up the Woodland Wreath set, borrowing a banner stamp set and die from her to finish it off.

I have had this woodgrain cardstock sitting around for forever.  I thought it was the perfect touch for the card.

I inked up my sentiment using the Espresso Truffle Luxe ink, and the lovelies have to make their way to my house and soon.  haha!

Here is a look at the sketch I used:

If you have any questions about the card, send me an email!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

CFC118: Tags & Bags

Happy Friday!

So glad you wondered my way today, because I have a fun little project for the newest CAS-ual Friday Challenge...

It's been awhile since I created a tag, or decorated a gift bag for that matter.  Our fab sponsor this week is CAS-ual Friday Stamps.  I used Only You on my project, you can find it here.

I started with my panel, adding some fun striped patterned paper to the top, along with glitter tape and a vellum border.  I then tied around some yellow ribbon, and added my tag.

The tag was made using Wplus9's Timeless Tags 2, stamping the polkadots and adding the sentiment in red.  I then took a strip of vellum and heat embossed You in white, wrapping the strip around the tag, and securing it in the back.

To finish it, I added the flourish to the bottom part of the panel in aqua and adhered the panel to my Kraft bag using foam tape.

I hope you play along with us this week, be sure to check out the other designers projects too, wowzer, they are GOOD!  Oh, and it's a two-weeker, so you have plenty of time.

Hello!

To start, I took a white panel, and stamped various Damask patterns from the Damask Delight set from Wplus9.

I then took a strip of black cardstock and stamped a sentiment from Fresh Cut Florals, heat embossing it in white.

To finish it off, I added another thinner black cardstock strip and a combination of sequins and rhinestones.

CFC117 In Stitches

Happy Friday!

I have a fun little card for the latest CAS-ual Friday's Challenge!  This week, stitching!  You can use real needle and thread, or go faux like I did here.

For this, I used my friend, Pat's, Lil Inker Designs Stitched Star dies, and impress them onto my white panel.  I then took distress markers, scribbled a little bit of each color on a block, and bounced the color off of the brush, onto my paper.

I then stamped a sentiment using Wplus9's Strictly Sentiments 1...

And, lastly, added some fabulous enamel dots!  There you have it!  I hope you play along, I can't wait to see!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Seriously, a day just for making cards?  Yes, please!  I am crafting it up with my friends at our local Archiver's today.  But, I wanted to pop on in a share a card just for the occasion.

I used Carte Bella's Hello paper pad again, along with vellum, punched into circles and turned into flowers with a simple brad.

I added a bunch of pearls and stamped a sentiment from Hero Art's Thanks A Bunch set.

I hope that you have a chance to get crafty today.  Thank you so much for stopping by on your hop!

Floral Thank You

Hey there friends!

I have a fun patterned paper card to share with you today, using a myriad of crafty goodness from the i {heart} papers store.  Kate has added so many awesome paper pads and stamp sets lately, there is just no way to chose a fav.  I love, love, love the Hello collection from Carte Bella, and decided to use it on my card today.  The colors are fabulous.

For this, I layered four different designs and then added a cluster of stamped flower images from Wplus9's Fresh Cut Florals and dies.

I also added a bit of faux stitching with a white gel pen, and stamped the sentiment in Navy ink.

To finish, I adhered a few pearls.  It's been awhile since I have used this much patterned paper on a card, but I kinda like it!  I certainly need to put a dent in that collection of mine.  :0)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

An Anniversary Card

Hey Friends!

Today is an extra special day...it's my eighth wedding anniversary.  I made my husband a little card for the occasion...

To start, I die cut a heart from a white cardstock panel, as well as a slightly smaller one from a bit of Studio Calico pattern paper.

After adhering the heart straight to the card base, I stamped my sentiment (Wplus9's Sweet Nothings) in black onto the panel, and adhered a few wood veneer hearts.  Lastly, I added glossy accentrs to the hearts for a little something extra.

Happy Anniversary darling!  I love you more and more every day.
