CFC107 Hunger Games

Hello!

How is it the end of June?  I'm not quite sure, but I am sure that it is time for another inspirational week at CAS-ual Fridays!  This weeks challenge?  Use arrows on your creations.  Cool!

For my card, I stamped arrows from the Studio Calico set, Oh Snap, in Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with clear powder.  I then took Inktense pencils and scribbled over them, followed by a bit of water to blend them together.

I then stamped my sentiment from the June SC card kit in Cup O' Joe ink.  After my panel was good and dry, I adhered it with strong adhesive to my card base.

Our generous sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, and there is a gc for $25.00 up for grabs!  We can't wait to see what you make.

CAS(E) this Sketch Guest Designer

Hello, hello!

I am so excited, because today I have the privilege of being a guest over at CAS(E) this Sketch challenge blog.  I love their fun CAS sketches, every one of them is inspiring!  I encourage you to check out their sketches here.  The newest sketch this week is by the lovely Karolyn.  I have to admit, this card took me foreeeever.  Usually that is not the case with CAS cards.  ;0) It was totally worth it though.

For my card, I pulled out my FAV flower stamp set of all time, Fresh Cut Florals.  I also used a bit of Country Charm and Strictly Sentiments 2.  I started by cutting a panel of Oatmeal cardstock, and stamping my background in brown ink.  I then added a strip of orange cardstock and stamped my sentiment.

I took the largest Timeless Two Die and impressed a woodgrain pattern onto it.  I secured some pink Divine Twine to its hole and used foam tape to secure it to the card.  I then added die cut, stamped flowers and put pearls in the centers.

Here is a look at the sketch:

I hope you play along!  We can't wait to see what you make!

Guesting With Mama Elephant!

Hey there!

I am so excited to be sharing a few projects with you today, using the Mama Elephant June stamp release!  When I saw them, I got a wee bit excited, no joke.  For my cards today, I chose to work with Up and Away as well as Big Words.

Up and Away is one adorable stamp set.  The little animals are just too cute, and the sentiments are perfect for all kinds of occasions!  For my card today, I used a bit of patterned paper from Dear Lizzy and American Crafts, stamped the cute little rabbit and colored it in with markers.  I added a bit of ribbon and stamped my sentiment onto a patterned paper banner.

My next project, I focused on the sweet umbrella!  How fun this is to watercolor!  I borrowed my sons Crayola watercolors and painted in the images that I had stamped down the side of a white watercolor paper square.  I then stamped the sentiment, and adhered a few black pearls...(one of which seems to have migrated without my notice before photographing!)

For the next set, Big Words, I tried to incorporate lots of color to my cards, to bring out those fun words!  To start, I selectively embossed a white cardstock panel with a chevron folder, leaving the middle open for my repeating sentiment.  I then stamped the "THX" multiple times in a fun color combo, finishing it off with part of a sentiment from Say What.  Lastly, a few rhinestones to finish it off, along with a bright green card base.

Lastly, I combined Up and Away with Big words to create this fun card.  I took the balloon image from Up and Away, stamped it once, masked the balloons and stamped again.  I then went in with more watercolors and painted them all in.  I rounded the corners and adhered it to a teal card base, stamping and popping up my sentiment on a strip of white cardstock.  Of course, I couldn't forget those big black pearls!

Phew!  Thank you for hanging in there, that was quite a long post!  These stamps are great for just about any occasion, the possibilities are endless, as you can see!  Thank you Kryssi, for having me on the blog today, it was such an honor!

Stampcow

Hey there friends!

I hope you are having a great week so far.  I am excited to share a few projects that I made using a reeeeally cute stamp from a super fun Etsy shop called Stampcow.  The owner, KK Yuen offers a fun variety of stamps along with craft products from his other store, Craftpon.  I will be sharing a few more of those with you in the coming days.

For today, I had to share this adorable Robot stamp, called Cute Robot-Server.  He is certainly cute!  I know my son would love this image.  I added some patterned paper from Studio Calico and a few enamel dots for a fun accent.  I added my sentiment from a ME set, keeping it pretty simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey crafty friends!

It's a new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays!  This week, we are to create a project with something hanging off the edge of it.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is CAS-ual Friday Stamps.  Here I used Mums the Word.

I took a white card base, and stamped the flowers in a variety of dye inks.  Stamped my sentiment in black and then took a leaf die from Wplus9, and adhered them so they hung over the edge a bit.

Well, that's all folks!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a fabulous day.

June Cloud 9 Blog Hop

Hi there crafty friends!

I have a floral card to share with you today.  It is using my newest favorite stamp set, Fresh Cut Florals from Wplus9.  I was so sad to discover that the Cloud 9 blog hop will be ending!  I had the best intentions to play along...but never got to.  Well, today I am!  So, without further ado, my card.

After finishing this card, I thought I should have centered my focal point.  I was inspired by an inspirational photo I saw on Facebook, and unfortunately, couldn't find it anywhere online.  Oh well, it was purty, so I tried to recreate it with stamps.  I traced an oval onto a white card base, and stamped my images around it, erasing the line as I went.

Well, thanks so much for popping by!  I hope you are having a great week.

Paper: Marshmallow Bazzill
Stamps: Fresh Cut Florals, Strictly Sentiments 2 Wplus9
Ink: Blueberry, Ocean A Muse Studio; Pink Lemonade, Fuchsia, Mojitio, Celery, Harvest, Sugar, Melon; Onyx Black Versafine Tsukineko

So, for my project today, I chose to play with the Be You set, making a scrapbook page with most of the fun elements included.

To start, I spritzed my white cardstock with yellow and aqua spray mist, and allowed it to dry.  I then matted my photo on different patterned papers in an aqua, yellow and black color scheme.

Taking the fun grid pattern from the Be You set, I stamped it to frame my photo collage, along with some of the other images in the set.  I added some paper clips from K & Co, for some embellishment to my photo.

I took the banner image, heat embossed it in black ink, and then trimmed them and adhered them to my page.

Lastly, I took some letters from Midnight Letters, and created my title.  I also added a couple smudges of yellow and aqua ink to accent it.  I stamped some tiny stars around the page using Midnight Letters and On Target for a fun accent.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed, thank you so much for stopping!  If you are hopping, scoot on over to see Savannah.  I know she has something fun to share!

Thinking of You

Hey there!

I received a lovely package of stamps the other day, and finally got a chance to ink them up!  I can't chat long, I think I hear the little one...

I used Wplus9's Fresh Cut Florals and coordinating dies to create this bright springy card, as well as the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.  I was inspired by the latest Monday Mood Board from Wplus9.

I started with stamping the large border image from the Background and Borders set, also from Wplus9, in yellow and the centers in pink.  I then added a couple of strips of green cardstock and adhered a few stamped die cuts.

Here is a look at the Mood Board and sketch:

Let's Celebrate

Happy Friday my friends!

It's time for another CAS-ual Friday challenge, and the Girl Fridays have loads of inspiration to share.  The theme this week is Congratulations, and there is a lovely prize from Ellen Hutson up for grabs.

I can never get to much white on Kraft, I tell ya...they go together like pb & j!  To start, I stamped a banner image form Mama Elephant's Soiree stamp set, masking one and then stamping another over it.  I then added some color blocks to the empty banner and stamped my sentiment.

As a last touch, I got out my white spray mist and gave it a couple spitz.

Well, that's it!  Play along with us, we'd love to see what you create!  Thanks for popping by!

Banner Thank You

Hello!

I am just popping in quick with a bright and cheery thank you card using Paulina's 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge.

I totally forgot to take a pic of my time, but it ended up being 8 minutes 49 seconds.

I started by stamping and masking the banner image, then proceded to stamp flowers in a random fashion around and upward.

I added a bit of bling to the centers, and rounded the corners of the panel, before adhering it to a white card base with thin foam.

Here is the graphic:

XOXO Runway Style

Hello there!

There is something exciting about stamp building, and I can't quite describe it.  Solid image meets cardstock, enter stamp positioner, and lay down the outline.  Viola!  A lovely two toned masterpiece.  Love it.  I know, I am silly...but I get a little excited about stuff like that.  I used the latest Runway Inspired Challenge for my inspiration, you can check it out here.

All of that black and white, angles and XOXO, had me going in a clean and simple direction.  I stamped my XOXO from Studio Calico's May card kit in Lady Bug red and overstamped the shadow in black.  I then took some hearts from the Darling Sentiments set and stamped those, adding tiny rhinestones for a bit of glam.

I ran a strip of white cardstock through the Big Shot with my Linear Embossing Folder from Lifestyle Crafts (NOTETOSELF at checkout will get you 20% off) and adhered a bit of black cardstock to its side.  I then popped it up with foam and rounded the bottom right corner.  Tada!

Here is a look at the inspirational photo:
