CFC: 103 Congratulations

Hi friends!

It's been awhile (again)!  Crafty time has been so sporadic lately, and I miss it more than words can say.  For this week, the CAS-ual Friday challenge is to create a Congratulations card.  Here is my example.

I broke out a new to me, Avery Elle set, called Petals and Stems.  I can't get enough floral stamps, I tell ya!  Taking a cream panel, I stamped some of the blooms in a bright color palette using a bit of masking.

After adhering the panel to my card base, I trimmed a strip and stamped my sentiment in Versamark, heat embossed it in brown and adhered it with foam.  I then added a few pearls to finish it off.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Casual Fridays Stamps!  You could win a stamp set of your choosing!

Thanks for popping by!  Have a fabulous weekend!

CFC102- Red, White & Blue!

Hey, hey!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to my American friends!  Today, the Girl-Friday's are bringing you a patriotic inspiration parade!  This week's challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays has us making red, white and blue our main focus, won't you play along?

For my card,   I started by die cutting one of Lifestyle Craft's nested star dies from my white panel.  I then double die cut a larger star from red cardstock, and adhered it with foam over the negative space.

Taking a navy card base, I white heat embossed a little star, and after stamping my sentiment, I popped the panel up onto my base with foam.  The sentiment is actually two differnt ones from Avery Elle's Handwritten Notes set, but I did a bit of selective inking to bring these words together.  To finish it off, I added a few rhinestones.

I do hope you play along with us!  The prize up for grabs this week, is a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Darling- Runway Inspired #36

Howdy!

I wanted to pop on in and share a card I made, that was inspired by the latest inspirational pic at Runway Inspired.

For this card, all I saw was triangles, red, pink and did I mention, triangles?  Oh, Mamaaaaa, Elephant that is...came to my rescue.  To start, I stamped the open triangles from Trifecta onto the bottom of my white panel.  I the filled in the spaces with the solid image using the colors from the photo.

I then stamped my sentiment from Filigree and stamped the little heart from Midnight Letters.  To finish it off, I added some red epoxy stickers and adhered the panel to a gray card base using foam adhesive.

Here is a looksie at the inspirational photo:

Yeah, I probably wouldn't choose that outfit either...;0)  Thanks for popping by today!  Have a good one.

Party Like A Rockstar

Hello!

I have a little card for you.  A, get ready for it, TEEN card!  Gasp!  When I think about making cards for teens, I don't even know where to begin.  You would think i'd have some clue, as I was once a teen.  I persevered, however, thought I would throw this one in to the Gallery Idol pool.  It was such an exciting competition, and I would love to do it again!
So, I got a bunch of new Mama Elephant stamps in the mail yesterday (woot!) and was dying to try them out, funny though, I ended up using an older set in my stash...oh well, the others will see ink soon, trust me on that!

To start, I sprayed some lovely Mr. Huey onto my white panel, after lightly adhering some wood veneer speech bubbles.  I then re-adhered them with foam, over the misted spots.

I stamped a sentiment from ME's Good Times set, which seemed totally appropriate for the occasion.  Lastly, I added some fun sequins, can't have too many of those!

Thanks so much for dropping by!  I hope you are having a fabulous week!

Supplies
Paper: Licorice, Marshmallow Bazzill
Stamps: Good Times Mama Elephant

The Craft's Meow Release Preview & Blog Hop- Chalkboard Birthday

Hey!

Today is the day that all the stamp-y goodness I have been using is available in The Craft's Meow store!!  I am so happy you found your way here from Lin's blog, if not, why not start at the beginning for tons of TCM goodness?!

So, I decided to give in to the trend and try it myself.  Ha!  Taking black cardstock, I white heat embossed the birthday image.  I then took white Pigment ink and, using a sponge, swiped it over the image and the edges.

I then took a bit of a paper doily and some patterned papers and created a bit of a corner collage and added a chipboard button with twine.

Wanna chance to win all 5 sets?  Leave comments on all the blogs to improve your chances!  You have until Thursday May 23rd to do so. Next up is Sharri!  Wander on over to see what she has done.  She always inspires with her lovely creations!

Well, that concludes the stamp release fun!  It is actually really bittersweet for me, because I have made the decision to step down from TCM.  I have been so blessed to have been able to work with Lisa and my talented teamies for as long as I have.  I will miss them all so very much.  I wish I were one of those women who can do it all, but alas, I can not!  I know that my kiddos won't be this little forever and must enjoy every moment with them.  I know I will continue to support TCM and look forward to the amazing things The Craft's Meow has in store.

The Craft's Meow Release Preview- Wildflowers

Hello!

I am back for day two of previews for The Craft's Meow!  Today's set, is called Wildflowers, designed by NinaB Designs.  So lovely it is!

I used the butterfly in the set, and stamped it repeatedly onto a vellum strip, using Versamark and heat embossing it in White.  I then adhered it to the side of a Kraft card base using liquid glue behind the butterflies.  I then took some patterned paper and adhered it over to the side.

I stamped my sentiment in white and then rounded the bottom corner.

I also created a super simple one layer card, using on of the flower images.  I colored it directly with Tombow markers and then gave it a spritz of water.  I love the watery look!  I then stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for popping by!  Be sure to check out the other girls projects!  They are sure to wow you!

The Craft's Meow Release Preview- Beautiful Hymns Two

Hello!  It's been awhile, no?  I am so sorry about that.  Life has been ca-razy and I am still trying to catch up!

Today, I have a little preview of one of the sets Nina has to offer this month with The Craft's Meow.  It is a sequel to a set released a bit ago...called, Beautiful Hymns.  I love the old hymns, they are full of sound doctrine and biblical truth, and speak to my spiritually needy heart.

For my card, I chose to use Hope Blooms in conjunction with it, coloring them in with Faber-Castell Colored Pencils.  Funny story, I bought these pencils thinking they were watercolor, oops...they weren't!  HAHA!  I made do anyway and really like how they blend.

After I was done with the flowers, I stamped my sentiment along with one of the flourishes, rounding the corners of the panel and adhering it to my Kraft card base with foam.

Here is the hymn in it's entirety...

  1. Like a river glorious is God’s perfect peace,
    Over all victorious, in its bright increase;
    Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day,
    Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.
    • Refrain:
      Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest
      Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.
  2. Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
    Never foe can follow, never traitor stand;
    Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
    Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.
  3. Every joy or trial falleth from above,
    Traced upon our dial by the Sun of Love;
    We may trust Him fully all for us to do;
    They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true.

I hope you enjoyed today's project, please check out the other ladies projects, and welcome our three new DT girls on the TCM blog!  I will be back tomorrow with another set!  Have a wonderful day!!

For my last card, I took a strip of water color paper, stamped the images in various distress inks and gave them a spritz (or two)!  I then popped it up onto black cardstock and adhered it to a Kraft card base.
