A Skipping Stones Blog Hop

Hello!

Today, I am participating in a very special blog hop in honor of Heather Timmins, owner of Skipping Stones Design Stamps.  You should have arrived from Vanessa's blog, if not check out the SSD blog for details.

Heather has decided to take a break from the stamp business, and this special hop is in her honor, as a way of saying thank you, and good wishes!  I remember the first time I "met" Heather.  I had my very first card published in Papercrafts Magazine back in 2010 using Friendly Fruits and she emailed me to tell me about her very generous incentive program.  Well, a guest design spot soon followed as well as a place on her team.  I have fond memories of my short time with Skipping Stones and adore the fabulously funny as well as gorgeous stamp sets that Heather has designed.  God bless you Heather!

For my card, I chose Breathtaking Butterflies.  It is a newer set, but oh-so lovely!  To start, I stamped the solid image onto my panel in a light blue, added a few strips of Navy cardstock and adhered the panel to a Navy card base.

I then stamped the large detailed image in Navy, cut it out and popped it up over the strips, adding rhinestones and stamping my sentiment underneath.

I couldn't stop there, and created this super clean and simple card using the smaller solid butterfly.  Stamping the image at the base of a white panel, I trimmed around the bottom of the butterflies, stamped my sentiment and after tying on twine popped it up onto a Kraft card base.

Okay, now head on over to see what Judith has for you, and don't forget to leave comments along the way.  There are some fun SSD stamp sets up for grabs to a lucky winner!  The deadline to leave those comments will be Sunday February 3rd.

So Very Thankful

Hello and happy Saturday!

It has been a loooong time since I played along over at CAS-ual Fridays, so I thought I would give it a whirl, considering all of the thank you's I need.  The challenge?  Use markers!  Now, I {heart} my Copics, but for this I used Mementos to color the wood veneer pieces.

To start, I added a strip of stripe patterned paper to the top of the card.  I then colored the wood veneer pieces with a Lady Bug red Memento marker and adhered them with a bit of liquid glue.

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Pretty Patches: Apples from Wplus9 and called it good.  Clean and simple and to the point!  My kind of card.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a fabulous day!

A Little Love Card

Hey!

In between cleaning up after my rambunctious four year old and feeding a 4 week old constantly, I managed to squeeze in this card.  I will be the first to admit, I can't do it all...supper sometimes doesn't get made, my house is a mess and I am barely scrapping by with the laundry.  All that to say, I must find time to make that card I have in my head.  Is that bad?  It is therapy, and thank the Lord i have a husband who indulges me and watches the kids while I play.  This card is for him...

I grabbed those Mama Elephant stamps again, they are so so cute!  Using the circles images from On Target, I stamped the Love image in the center with Aqua ink, and the open heart circle overlapping next to it in pink.

I selectively inked the You from the You're the One sentiment and added some clear rhinestone.  I then adhered the panel to a Kraft base.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great one!

Runway Inspired Challenge #28 - Carolina Herrera

Hello!

Every winter I wonder why I live where I live...11 degrees!  It is so so cold out there, and I refuse to go anywhere today.  If its okay with you, I am going to dream of the tropics while I type this. :0)  I made a couple of cards using the latest Runway Inspired Challenge #28.  I adore the flowing nature of her gown and the mod colors and circles!

That took me to a clean card, using the colors from the pic (although, I believe it might be black instead of navy...maybe I am blind?) as well as all of those fabulous circles!

I punched circles from various cardstock and adhere them to my panel, stamping a sentiment from the Bright Idea stamp set from Technique Tuesday.  I mounted the panel onto a white card base.

For another card using the challenge colors, I brought out some new to me, Mama Elephant stamps.

Using Beyond Basic Borders, I stamped the large dot strip at the base of my card, and added the feathers that were stamped and cut out.

Last, I stamped my sentiment and added a button threaded with twine.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Craft's Meow February Release Blog Hop

Well hello!

I am back today with this month's The Craft's Meow new release blog hop!  You should have arrived from Lin's blog, if not go here for the details.  All of the sets you have seen this past couple of days are now available in The Craft's Meow store, so head on over, oh, and Lark Additions is free with a $50.00 purchase.

For my project today, I combined Many Thanks with Happy As A Lark, to create this western style thank you card!  To start, I took an Oatmeal (Wplus9) card panel, stamped the large woodgrain image and overstamped with my sentiment.

I then took some fun patterned paper from October Afternoon's Sasparilla Collection and adhered the strips with foam.  I then added a Flyer and a threaded twine button to finish it off.

For an additional project, I whipped up a thank you card using the Many Thanks set, again and also brought out the stripe from Holiday Foundations and stamped those diagonally and popped it off a gray card base.

I hope you've enjoyed the previews this week!  Head on over to see what Nina has created!  It is sure to please!  Be sure to leave comments along your way, Lisa will pick one random comment from all of the blogs to win all five stamp sets!

Have a great day!

The Craft's Meow Release Previews- Many Thanks

Hey there!

Are you ready for the last bit of The Craft's Meow sneaks?  The set showcased today is called Many Thanks.  Let me say, I love a good sentiment set, and this one has all of the Thank You's you could need to show your gratitude.  Let's take a looksie!

To start with, I took the woodgrain heart from Lark Additions, and stamped it in three different inks, then over stamped with my sentiment from Many Thanks in black.

To finish it off, I added some rhinestones, and popped the panel up onto a pink card base.

For the next card, I took the capitalized Thanks and stamped it repeatedly in a bright color combo onto a panel.  I notched out the side with a circle punch,  and tied around some twine.

After stamping the Many Thanks sentiment and stars (from O' Christmas Tree) I adhered the panel to my card base with foam.

For a chance to win this set, stop on over to The Craft's Meow Blog and leave a comment.  Thanks so much for hanging in there with me!  Tomorrow is our fun blog hop, you don't want to miss it!

The Craft's Meow Release Previews- Happy As A Lark/Lark Additions

Hello!

Day three of The Craft's Meow stamp release brings two fun sets from the talented Karen Baker!  These sets make me happy!  Just a reminder, these stamp sets will be available Monday the 21st.  Lark Additions is also the free set with a $50.00 purchase, score!  Here is what I did with them.

I started with an Oatmeal cardstock panel and stamped the small woodgrain image twice in brown ink.  I stamped the bird in lavender, cut it out and popped it up onto the panel, adding some punched leaves and a twine threaded brown button to finish it off.

For my next card, I used the free gift with $50.00 purchase, Lark Additions.  It is a small 4x4 set, but packed with fabulousness!

To start, I took a cream card base and stamped the heart image in three different red inks and my sentiment in black.  I then took a panel and impressed it using woodgrain and then die cut an oval from the center.

Lastly, I stamped a heart, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape.  A twine bow and a few rhinestones finish it off.

Well, that is all for me today!  Thanks for popping by!  Be sure to stop by the other ladies blogs for more inspiration using these sets and also make sure you leave a comment on the TCM blog for a chance to win a set!

Welcome!

Today is day two of The Craft's Meow sneak peaks.  The set today is a mini one illustrated by the talented Nina B, called Crafty Shelf.  Here is what I did with it.

To start, I took a white piece of cardstock and scored it into a three fold card.  I stamped the button image onto colored cardstocks, cut them out and adhered them to the top and bottom flaps.  As a little detail, I added a bit of white gel pen to the thread on the buttons.

I stamped a sentiment from the set, and added brads and twine for closure.  Perfect for a crafty gift card for a special friend!

I Love You

Scroll down or click HERE for The Craft's Mow Release Preview post

Hello!

I know, I was already here once today, but because of the beauty of a sleeping infant and a forgiving preschooler, I was able to make a card!  Now, the beauty of it was I had to do it in 10 minutes or less.  Paulina's 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge was just that, a challenge!  But, I managed to clock in at 8 minutes and 15 seconds, score!  Here is what I made using the color graphic.

Because Wplus9 is the awesome sponsor this time around, I grabbed the Sweet Nothings set.  Starting with a white panel, I stamped the plaid in green and added both hearts in pink.  I then stamped my sentiment in gray.

To finish it off, I matted the panel onto gray cardstock and added some green gems.  Tada!  A lovey card for my husband!

See you tomorrow for more TCM sneaks...

Well hello there!

It's that time again, The Craft's Meow release festivities are beginning!  We have five new sets to preview in the coming days and I can't wait for you to see them!  All five sets will be available in The Craft's Meow store on Monday the 21st, until then, let's have a sneak at one of them, called Beautiful Hymns by NinaB Designs.

This set just stirs my heart, I adore the old hymns.  Nina has done a marvelous job showcasing some of them in this set.  To start, I took a cream panel and impressed it with Lifestyle Craft's    Embossing Folder (NOTETOSELF at checkout will get you 20% off).  I then stamped one of the hymn verses as well as the leaf image, cutting them out and popping them up with foam.  I then popped up the panel onto a purple card base.

How 'bout another?
