Moxie Fab World Repetition Challenge

Happy Friday friend!  I just live for the weekends and can't wait to go to the fair tomorrow!  How bout you?  Any plans?  I thought I would pop in and share a card I made for one of Cath's Card Design Handbook challenges, Repetition.

For my card, I chose to repeat a border punch design in gradient colors.  For my colors, I went with Bazzil's Robin's Egg, Candy Necklace and Jawbreaker.  All of the colors can be found in The Ribbon Carousel store.

I cut strips and punched them with the American Craft's Knock-Out punch, Spiral Notebook.  After adhering the strips to a Marshmallow card base, I stamped my sentiment from Hero Art's All Occasion Messages set and called it good.

Thanks so much for popping by!  Have a wonderful weekend.

Ribbon Carousel and Nikki Sivils Blog Hop!

Hey there!  I am so glad you made your way here!  The gals from The Ribbon Carousel are hopping today with the Nikki Sivils team and it is one inspiration-packed blog hop!  Here is my contribution, using the adorable Noah collection.

Starting with a white card base, I layered my patterned papers, as well as the scallop border strip included in the kit.  I then added some rustic Jute Twine from the RC store and adhered a yellow button.

Taking one of the die-cuts, I layered it on top of an patterned paper oval with foam and popped it up onto my card front.  Lastly, I added a couple of punch out stars.  Simple and quick, but perfect for a fun loving little boy!

Enjoy the rest of the hop and remember to leave comments!!  Prizes include a $25.00 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel store, as well as winner's choice of one Nikki Sivils Scrapbooking kit!  Awesome!

Thank you so much again for popping by.

RCC68 - Back to School with Wendy Ramlakhan

Hey friend!  I am so glad you came by.  I am here with a new challenge over at The Ribbon Carousel blog and the challenge this week is Back to School!  It is so hard to believe that summer is coming to and end and Autumn is right around the corner!  I have already started to see the leaves turning here in Northeast Ohio, and must admit I am nowhere near ready.  I know my sister would agree, having gone back to work as an 8th grade math teacher a week ago.  This card is for her and for all you fabulous teachers out there.  It is a hard job and one that doesn't get the credit it deserves!  So, thank you!

Starting with a dark gray card base, I adhered a panel of gingham patterned paper from October Afternoon, as well as a tag, threaded with Cherry Divine Twine.  I paper-pieced an apple from Paper Smooches Falling For You set and finished it off with a combination AC letter stickers and stamped sentiment from Word Up.

I hope you play along with us this week!  Corinna is always so generous with the prize too, so please join us!

Patterned Paper: October Afternoon

Thoughts of You

Hello there!  I thought I would pop in and share a card that I just made, using the latest challenge from Runway Inspired #18.  I haven't played in a challenge in forever, and I have missed it!  I have to admit, I feel a bit rusty lately, hence the need for a challenge.  A dear friend of mine just lost her stepfather, and I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking of her.  With that in mind, I reached for a set I hadn't inked up yet, Paper Smooches Reflections set.  Here is what I made.

To start, I stamped and stamped off the leaves in Fresh Ink's Mojito, adding the flowers in Amuse Studio's Blueberry, which mimic the models flowery blouse.  I then added orange rhinestones, as I was inspired by her fun purse, and lastly, added some striped paper because of her pants and some orange Divine Twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Tomorrow, I will be back with the latest Ribbon Carousel Challenge, so stop back!
