Turquoise Butterfly Congratulations

Please scroll down or click here for my OJS post!  Thank you!

Hello and happy Saturday!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend and had a chance to hop around to see all of the fabulous projects made for Operation Julie's Smile.  It is still going on now through tomorrow evening, lots of prizes and of course help for the wonderful Julie Ranae.  You can donated by clicking the Paypal logo on the side bar.

Now, how's bout a card?  YEAH!  I have to tell you, the mojo is still a little weak and I just haven't been feeling crafty, so when that happens I look for a challenge and in this particular situation I knew I had to CASE (copy and selectively edit) someone.  Enter the CASE Study challenge.  Chupa does an amazing job with this challenge blog, always a fabulous muse.  This week it is Niki Estes.  When I started papercrafting I remember always stalking her blog for ideas and inspiration, whoa can she color!  Here is the card I made based off of her gorgeous creation.

Starting with a cream base, I masked off a square and stamped my music background strip repeatedly, added a few strips of card stock with my sentiment along with a die cut circle and colored butterfly.

I took Cristina's advice and looked at the picture for a few seconds and walked away.  I then tried to recall the three, in this case four, design elements that stuck out to me, which were the music, turquoise, butterfly and circle.

Here is a look at Niki's card:

I hope you enjoyed and hopefully I will be back with more later.  Take care my friend and have a great weekend!
