The Craft's Meow Sneak Peak Fun{tashe}tic

Welcome!  Today I am sharing a card using the second set being released for September by The Craft's Meow!  This set is so so fun!  Designed by Nina B. Designs, it captures one of this years most fun trends, Mustaches!  Love these images she designed, along with the super cute sentiments...

To start I stamped the various mustache images and sentiment in black onto a Chartreuse panel, matted it onto cream card stock and then onto a Chartreuse card base.

I then cut strips of gray card stock and created a border around the card.  Super easy and great for a guy.  I hope you enjoyed today's project, please stop in tomorrow for TCM's blog hop, there will be prizes!

P.S.
Be sure to leave a comment on the TCM blog for a chance to win this set!

Hey friend!  I am back with a card to share that is up on the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog today.  I used the super fun stamp set, Old School Rock.  Seriously love the cassette image in this set!  I use to have a trillion cassettes when I was a kid.  New Kid's On the Block anyone?!  haha, check it out:

I used October Afternoon's Schoolhouse Line and adhered strips to the card front at a slant.  I punched a couple circles and adhered them together and attached a brad through the middle.

Next, I stamped the cassette image onto gray American Crafts card stock, cut them out and adhered them.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment, trimmed it down and popped it up.

I hope you enjoyed, please stop back tomorrow for the second TCM stamp release preview.

The Craft's Meow Sneak Peak Happy H'owl'oween

Hello and welcome!  Today, I am showing you a card I made using a fun new set being release for The Craft's Meow on September 1st called Happy H'owl'oween!  Jenny Suchin designed this cute Halloween set and it is sure to make you smile!

Starting with a purple panel, I ran it through my Big Shot with PTI's Linen and Canvas impression plate to give it some texture.

I stamped the fence image three times on white card stock, cut them out and adhered them to my panel, along with some fab glittery Thickers from American Crafts.

Lastly, I stamped the moon and bat images, cut them out and adhered them to my card.  As a last detail, I added some Glossy Accents to the bat's eyes, not sure if I like that too much!!

Paper Crafts magazine Presents: Bonus Sketch Blog Hop

Happy Friday friend!  I am so glad you stopped by today, because Paper Crafts Magazine is hosting a fun Blog Hop today in celebration of their newest special issue, Card Ideas For Paper Crafters!  I love a good sketch and was truly inspired by all of the amazing sketches provided for this particular issue.  Do you have a copy yet?  If not, be sure to leave a comment here on my blog for a chance to win one (comment must be made by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, August 28) or go here to purchase it!  Also, there are some great bonus sketches available online for you to try here.

I chose to work with Chan's awesome sketch for my card today.  I went in a totally different direction with it than you would think this sketch might represent.  Those scallops?  I see waves...check it out:

Starting with two pieces of card stock, I die cut scallops from both and using their negatives adhered the panels to a white card base, trimming off the access.

I then ran a tan piece of card stock through my Big Shot with Papertrey Ink's Linen and Canvas Impression Plate to create the look of sand.  I tore it into a mound and attached it to my card base.

Stamped, colored and cut out the pelican from Paper Smooches Surf n' Turf set, along with the wood pilings that I stamped and cut out, adhering them to my sand mound.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from Word Up (Paper Smooches) and finished it off with some letter stickers from Lily Bee Designs.

I die cut some the Beautiful Blooms flowers from Pure Poppy card stock, stamped the largest leaf from Turning A New Leaf and cut it out.  I then stamped my sentiment from Think Big Favs #3 and adhered the other pieces down and added a pink button to the center of my flower.

Glitzy Many Thanks

Hello hello!  Today I have a card I made inspired by the fabulous Tuesday Trigger: Girly & Gutsy.  I was inspired by that fantastic white and black rug, along with the yellow chairs and the flowers on the table.  Of course, the bling all over that room had to make an appearance on my card as well, and who could forget the pink walls!

Starting with a vine image from Turning A New Leaf, I stamped it repeatedly in black ink onto a white panel.

I cut a strip of yellow card stock and stamped my sentiment...notched the end and popped it up with foam.

Lastly, I die cut pink flowers, stamped a little darker center and blinged them up and adhered them atop a double die cut black circle!

Thanks so much for taking a look!  I will be back tomorrow with my card for the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop!

All Things Wonderful

Hello my friend and thank you!  Thank you for all of your sweet words concerning this post.  You all are so nice!  So, I have a little card today featuring my most fav technique, heat embossing AND dry embossing!  CAS-ual Friday's has a stellar embossing challenge and Embellish has a fab color challenge, let's put them together!  After I made my card I remembered there is another component to the Embellish challenge...uh oh.  I double check and PHEW!  I made an embossed flower!  What luck.  Ever happen to you?

Starting with a Kraft card stock panel, I ran it through my Big Shot with my fav Woodgrain Impression plate and adhered the panel to a cream card base.

I stamped and embossed my flowers onto Pure Poppy card stock and cut them out, layering them and adding two leaves in New Leaf.  Finished off the flower with a pearl

Lastly, I took a lovely Hero Arts sentiment and stamped that in Rich Cocoa.

Here is the inspiration picture:

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  I really appreciate your visit!  Have a great day!

Leaf With Gratitude

Hello and happy Monday friend!  Thank you for joining me here today.  I am so excited because today I am being featured over at the Paper Crafts Connection blog today, I do hope you will stop over there and see!  I was lucky enough to have eight cards chosen for publication for the Card Idea special issue.  I submitted 22 cards for that call, that is how much I love sketches!!  I don't know if I could ever do that many again!

Anyway, I had a bit of crafty time over the weekend and decided to make a Thanksgiving card.  Seriously, I don't want to even think about the end of fall yet!  I mean, really, it hasn't even started, but I figured I would get a head start on those thank you's for all of the delicious food I will no doubt consume on that day.  I revisited Cath's Moxie Fab World Fabulous Felt challenge and created this:

I started by adhering a strip of Autumn Abundance patterned paper to the base of the card, along with a brown card stock strip.

I took the Leaf Prints set and stamped the vein image onto Simply Chartreuse and Harvest Gold felt and hand cut them out.  I don't own the dies yet, someone please tell me why this is?  I then adhered them to my card with Scor-tape.  Threaded a big orange button with twine and secured it on.

Lastly, I took a sentiment from Timeless Tags by The Craft's Meow and stamped it in brown ink.

I have a few more to do, but this is a start!  I hope you enjoyed and I will catch you later!  Have a great day.

You're Fabulous

Hello and happy Saturday my friend!  Thanks for popping in, I always appreciate your visits.  Today I have a fun card to share with you using The Play Date Cafe's fabulous color combo of Navy, Bubblegum and Leaf Green!  Phew, this one started out a bit rocky and then I began rearranging things and bingo!  I had myself a card...love when that happens.  I do believe I am finding myself addicted to their fun color combos over at the Cafe!

To start I took a piece of pink striped patterned paper from Echo Parks Dots & Stripes mini pad and adhered it to a white card base.

I then die cut some Enchanted Evening card stock using the Beautiful Blooms dies from Papertrey Ink.  Brushed the edges with Fresh Snow ink and adhered a threaded New Leaf Button to the flower centers.

I stamped my sentiment in Enchanted Evening ink and adhered three pearls underneath to finish it off.

Just For You

Happy Friday my friend!  Phew, what a week it was for me!  I received my Gallery Idol prize box the other day and found within it, felt flower clips from Pink Paisley.  I really had no idea what I would do with them, so in my drawer they went.  Enter the Moxie Fab World Fabulous Felt Challenge and the light bulb went off.  I combined it with CR84FN's lovely color combo of Yellow, Kraft and a Neutral.

Starting with a Kraft panel, I embossed it with woodgrain and inked the edges, popping it up with foam on a Harvest Gold card base.

Die cut a label, inked the edges and stamped my sentiment from Simply Delightful by The Craft's Meow.

I added a bit of bling and attached my clip to the panel.

Celebrate Today

Hey, hey!  How is it Wednesday already?  I don't know, but i'll take it, because it is one step closer to Friday!  For today I have a little card I made using the newest ColourQ palette.  Oh my, do I love these colors together.

I started by taking a strip of white card stock and a nestie and creating my own decorative edge.  I then ran it through with a woodgrain impression plate and adhered that to a white card base.

Using Hero Arts Latte Chalk ink, I stamped the flowers from Flower Fusion #5, along with the leaves and cut them out.  I adhered the cut out leaves to the flowers and then attached color coordinating buttons.

Lastly, I took Think Big Favorites #4 and selectively inked up each word and stamped them to fit.
